HHonors site is grounded
I get the message "sorry you page cannot be displayed" for HHonors.
Is the site down? can get to main page but not to account info on either the www.hilton.com or www.hhonors.com.
Is it just me???

The site seems to be having big problems. There are broken links everywhere that take you to a message saying that they are experiencing problems.

Hilton's Web Site
Has anybody tried to book a Hilton hotel through their web site lately? I have found it to be extremely slow in comparison with Starwood, Marriott, Hyatt, etc.

You better forget using the not-too-nice www.hilton.com web site. Not only is it usually slow (need I mention frequently not even unavailable?), it is not user-friendly, and it quite often DOES NOT LIST ALL THE AVAILABLE RATES.......especially the lower/lowest ones. I use it as a nice general guide only. My advice still is........
Call the 800-Hiltons tele number or a travel agent:
(1) if you want to save time (and/or)
(2) if you want to save money

Lots of links not working today.. looks like they have coded some database changes but didn't or haven't yet coded the links.. pretty worthless today... but that happens a lot these days... between Hilton and American Airlines, I'm lucky to get info I'm after 30% of the time! In Hilton's defense, I know the new partners must have introduced a tremendous challenge.. I run an internet-based distribution channel, so I have sympathy.. maybe tomorrow...

I am glad to know the trouble I'm having is not a personl problem but disturbed to know that it has been going on for so long (since 6/20/00 for the venerable Catman?).
Since 6/25/00 I have been trying to access my account without success. When I enter my account number then select "Access my account" it takes me right back to the log-in page. This has happened before. We'll see how long these problems can go on?

I've found that even when the account info sections for www.hilton.com or www.hhonors.com are down, www.hiltonhhonors.com is inevitably up.
I'm confused by it, but it always works when the others don't.

Thanks bobofoosh for the tip. I tried accessing the "account" page through www.hiltonhhonors.com and got the same thing. The Hilton site still does not allow me access to my account information. I'll keep the bookmark though for future use.

Also make sure that you have cipher-strength (encryption) at 128-bit. Most sites don't require it, but I know hilton does. It was the reason I couldn't get on for a while. Just go to the IE or Netscape home page to upddate.

Web site broken?
I tried to change my address twice on the HHonors website this evening and after I clicked on submit (after changing almost all the information fields) each time the screen returned with all the old information!
