No. It was issued by Hilton HHonors.

AXON booking with Rewards Certificate

When you book on the phone using AXON, do you get an email with the Reward Certificate Plus the Conrad Hotels and Resort Confirmation?

The Diamond Desk agent I spoke to last week stated very confidently that AXON is dead when the new program changes go into effect.

Of course, you never know how well-informed any airline/hotel/rental car phone agent is of promotions and other rewards program happenings, but this one was both very competent in her booking of my awards and rather certain that AXON was dead.

Or they could just keep the exact "same" program which allows up to Cat 7. There are not that many expansive resorts left at Cat 7 or below. If you want to spend 145k at Hampton Inn, they would love to have you do that.

Now for Cat 8 - 10, they might have some other numbers like 170k, 195k, 220k...

AXON used with points plus money question

In the past, if I charged incidentals to my room while on an award stay, the charge would acrue points. I was reading through posts on these boards and it seems as if points + $ rate do not earn any points for charged incidentals. I defer to the many HH experienced FTers.

I am hoping to book an AXON stay with one night added using points plus cash. Will I get points for incidentals charged to my room bill?

Thanks all

From hilton honors:
13.Will I earn HHonors Points for Standard Room Rewards, Points & Money Rewards, Premium Room Rewards, and Room Upgrade Rewards?

The money spent on the room rate portion of Points & Money Rewards will not be considered an eligible folio charge for which points will be issued. Determining all other incidental charges that count towards earning HHonors Points varies by brand and type of charge. Please see the HHonors Terms and Conditions for details.
3.A "stay" is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. Specifically excluded from the definition of "stay" are the following types of ineligible stays: wholesale/tour operator packages; contracted crew rates; travel agency discount rates, packages exclusively for casino player card holders; Team Member Travel rates, Hilton Family Travel Rates; stays secured utilizing Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Hilton Club timeshare programs, Hilton Grand Vacations marketing packages with a sales presentation requirement; complimentary or barter rooms; Reward Stays (as defined herein); NET Group rates; Series Group or IT Group rates; contracted Entertainment or Encore rates; third party websites bookings (irrespective of rate paid); and "opaque" channel bookings where the brand may or may not be known at the time of purchase. HHonors Points may not be earned (including as a My Way benefit) for or during ineligible stays, including without limitation, folio charges incurred during ineligible stays. If at least one night of the Member's stay is consumed with the use of HHonors Rewards Points, the entire stay is considered a "Reward Stay" and no HHonors Points may be earned, except that if Member is using Room Upgrade Rewards, any money spent on the original reservation will earn points and/or miles consistent with these Terms. Participating hotel will determine whether incidental charges incurred during either of those stays are eligible for points, except that Points will not be earned for incidental charges at Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites®, Homewood Suites by Hilton®, and Home2 Suites by Hilton®.
8.The term "eligible folio charges" for Hilton®, Conrad® Hotels and Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton™ Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Grand Vacations® and Waldorf Astoria* hotels shall mean: room rate, food and beverage, telephone, laundry, pay-per-view movies, entertainment and recreational facilities, and other incidental charges charged to the Member's room during the Member's stay. Dining room or other charges not billed to a Member's room during a stay are not eligible for credit. Such hotels within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio may omit for purposes of point accrual, incidental charges by non-affiliated hotel entities which are not owned and/or operated by the hotel including, but not limited to, food and beverage outlets, gift shop, drugstore, clothes, gallery or specialty stores, recreational or entertainment concessions. The term "eligible folio charges" for Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites®, Home2 Suites by Hilton®, and Homewood Suites by Hilton® hotels mean room rate only. Charges in connection with banquets or other catering functions are not considered "eligible folio charges" for purposes of point accrual, with the exception of points earned from qualifying meetings or events through the Hilton HHonors Event Planner and the Event Bonus Programs. Folio charges incurred during an ineligible stay are not considered "eligible folio charges."

Yes, as long as there is standard room availability for all 4 of your desired nights.

I'm sure they would want us to spend $145,000 at a Hampton. I'd prefer to not spend 145k points (without the dollar sign ) at a Hampton.

I just looked at my most recent bill and they went through all these changes to the program coming in May for Amex point accrual, but they mentioned nothing that I could see on the AXON awards. Is that a good sign or a bad sign.

So more points for the hotel and less points accrued on the card. Looks like no matter what we're getting hammered on both ends. In the meantime, the management team of Amex cleans up on executive pay....and for what? What do those guys even do?

Ridiculous.

With the move to variable award pricing something which is a percentage discount, point rebate on redemption, or x night free deal is the most likely offer.

I would think that it could just simply be a 4th night free deal. Which would be very similar to the AXON awards that are likely to be discontinued. The 5th night free offer which has already been announced is a 20% discount while a 4th night free would be a 25% discount. At the high end a 95k a night hotel is 76k a night counting the 5th night free. Under a 4th night free deal it would be 71.25k. For hotels which are still 50k a night it would be 150k for a 4 night stay which is almost the same as the current AXON awards.

But booking directly on the site...4 adults is allowed (there is a sofabed), so I guess it's not an issue.
I'm a bit new to all of this. Does it matter how many people you tell them are going to be in your room? For instance, if I just say myself, versus saying 2 people?

Shouldn't be an issue.
