Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Hilton today announced the launch of a vibrant new brand that offers guests a refreshing choice for an independent hotel stay: Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Tapestry Collection by Hilton marks the 14th brand and second collection brand for Hilton, the world’s fastest-growing hospitality company on an organic net unit growth percentage basis.

Looking forward to a brand new collection to try out in future!

In regards of the new brand name definition:
...the name for Tapestry Collection was whittled down from a list of more than 500 names...

“a tapestry is a woven piece of fabric that’s a one-of-a-kind type of element. Each of these hotels will be an individual, one-of-a-kind hotel. The Tapestry name came to the top because it can be associated with that independent traveler who’s looking to have a great experience.”

Aside from the fact that I question whether Hilton really needs yet another flag, I can see how this more downmarket soft brand (vs Curio Collection) could actually house some of the less cookie cutter properties that so far have been dumped into Doubletree (like the Maya in Long Beach, the Curtis in Denver or the Alexandra in Barcelona) because it seemed like there was no place else to put them.

With God as my witness, I clicked on this thinking it was Hilton selling curtains and home decor a'la Westin selling Heavenly Bedding.

However, now I'm geared up to try another HH property. Thanks for the news!

Oh goody another brand, that's just what Hilton needs, and being independent, their customers will have no idea on what the level of service will be. Just great. For me it'll be another brand to ignore.
