Is Embassy Suites 2 Room Suite = 1 Bedroom?
This is so damn misleading.
Was looking at a few Embassy Suites and they listed their base room as "2 Room Suite". On checking the description it looks like it's only a 1-bedroom?
Or is it 2-bedroom or 1-bedroom? Since when does the living area count as a room?!

That said, the couch in the living room of many Embassy Suites is a sleeper, so that might serve your purpose.

As far as I'm concerned, there's absolutely nothing misleading about the term "2 room suite".

I would tend to agree that "Two Room Suite" is potentially confusing. The better description would be "One Bedroom Suite."
Though in the big picture, the descriptive is actually less confusing than common nomenclature such as "Executive Suite" or "Deluxe Suite" which tells you nothing at all about the number of rooms.

That is true. Every Embassy Suites I have ever stayed at has a true suite layout (aka a door separating the two areas). There are a lot of "suites" out there which are one room suites aka junior suites. I think that is why they are specifically noting two room in their room description. If you are ever looking for two bedrooms, you need to look for that specific term "two bedrooms" the absence of which means one bedroom area.

Most 'suites' I read about are really just a typical hotel room, but with a fridge and microwave and maybe a 2 burner stove. That, imo, is misleading.
Advertising a 2 room suite isn't misleading. The OP somehow is thinking it means 2 bedrooms. As mentioned above, if I'm looking at houses, I'm not going to see 8 rooms in a listing and think it has 8 bedrooms.
Embassy Suites has always advertised their rooms as such, and I don't think anyone has found it misleading until now.

Some Embassy's do have two bedroom suites. Hilton lists their rooms from cheapest to most expensive, so scroll through the room types further to see if the one that you are interested in has them available for sale.
