Dumb question do 'cash and points' nights count as stays?

Dumb question do 'cash and points' nights count as stays?
I'm a long time Diamond member and never ever use points in the past, but just saw a Hotel that needed tons of cash, but not many points, hence the question. 
It has all points option, and cash and points.
Do either count as a "stay" at Hilton toward my qualifying nights for this year?

Promos like the Bonus 5000 points for stays to July count too I guess if registered?

You should get 5000 points AND double points on incidental spending, if you're registered for both promotions.
