$118 is the average of two nights including resort fee ($85 first night, $111 second night, before resort fee). It's still a ~65% premium, but nothing under $150/night gets questioned by my company's accounting dept. I think I'm going to go for it, I'm just hoping there's no snafu related to Stay Credit and Points booking direct...

I was in Vegas Thursday to Monday for the holiday weekend and stayed at the HGVC on Karen and walked over to the SLS late Thursday.
The interior is a lot nicer than the Sahara (but not that hard to improve that old dump) but nothing like the Wynn or Cosmo.
On TA the reviews are mixed so far.
I use to like the Sahara for cheap blackjack tables, and even though the casino was slow late Thursday night I couldn't find any tables under $15. There wasn't a lot of retail open that late. When I was leaving I overheard some people commenting about how good the buffet was, so I am hoping diamonds get the buffet for breakfast but not counting on it.
As I was walking back to the HGVC I used the bridge that connects to the monorail to cross the street and could see into some rooms that had the drapes open and lights on (so I would recommend closing the curtains there) and the rooms were renovated but didn't look like anything luxurious.
Unless the room rates are really reasonable and there is a good breakfast benefit for diamonds, I'll probably stick with the HGVC. I had a rate of around $90 a night and was upgraded to a full suite again and was able to get from the front door or pool to my room in just 1 minute as opposed to walking through a casino.

Hi all,
Just wanted to provide you a quick update I collected from my team. (This info was also posted in the Official HHonors FlyerTalk Ambassador thread.)
Hilton HHonors on-property benefits will be the same at the SLS Las Vegas as you would find at any Hilton Hotels & Resorts location. Gold and Diamond HHonors members enjoy HHonors point bonuses, complimentary room upgrades (based on availability at the time of check-in) and continental breakfast benefits at The Perq.
As the SLS Las Vegas is a resort, there is a $25 resort fee for all guests that covers these offerings and includes in-room internet access and health club privileges.
Thanks,
Erin

I'm seeing a HUGE price difference between the HHonors web site and the SLS web site for prices.

Price (1 night x 159.00) 159.00
Price (1 night x 169.00) 169.00
Resort charge 75.00
Taxes 65.04
Room Subtotal 607.04
Best Available Rate
Rate Details
Room Details
Total for stay: $607.04 USD
SLS site:

Did they honor it? I'm just about to book there and noticed the huge price difference, as well. Also, booking directly at the SLS site, even though it doesn't list the resort fee, I'd fully expect it to be added at check in.

A daily resort fee of $25 plus tax will be added to your room account, which entitles you to receive complimentary fitness center access, local and long distance phone calls, access to the pools and in-room Internet access. The total shown for your online reservation does not include this daily fee.

Anthony indicated to me that they WILL earn points and benefits, but I'll beleive it when I see it. I currently have a Legendary Rate booked through SLSLasVegas.com and a Best Available Rate booked through HHonors with a pending Best Rate Guarantee claim... I'm hoping the approve the claim, at which point I'll cancel the direct booking and worry a bit less about receiving points/stay credit/benefits.

No response yet
I sent a rate "challenge" along with the specifics, including the web site where I found the lower rate.
Here was thier response to my rate challenge:
"Thank you for taking the time to submit a Best Rates Guarantee claim for your upcoming stay at SLS Las Vegas. I was unable to find the hotel available on www.lasvegas.com for your travel dates."
Maybe you can't find it there because I found it at a different web site, namely the official hotel web site that I provided in my email. Did you even read my email?
I responded immediately, with screen caps and an even MORE detailed email including the web site AGAIN, but no response.
I would book both. You can always cancel either with no penalty.

Well, as usual, the "bestrate team" has screwed this up.

On a side note, how do they pay the $50 compensation if/when they do approve a guarantee claim?

Has anyone seen a "deposit" hit their card when booking, either direct through SLSLasvegas.com or through Hilton? Both said a deposit would be charged, but I haven't seen it hit my card for either reservation (4 days since booking on SLSLasVegas.com, 20 hours since booking on Hilton.com).
I'm sitting at 20 hours from BRG submission and no response. Is it a true 24-hour response time, or by COB next day? The rate I'm requesting matched is holding both on SLSLasVegas.com and LasVegas.com, so I'm not sure what basis they would have to deny it.

This property is already part of the Preferred Hotel Group. So does an elite member of both programs (PHG and HHonors) get some credits if he/she stays there?
