Diamond Status extension
I requalified for Diamond Status for 2012. However, this year, my card came with a letter stating that I had been a Diamond Member for over 10 years and that my Status had been extended THREE years.
Is this normal?

I asked the Diamond Desk CSR about it today. She hadn't heard of it but after putting me on hold, and I guess checking with a supervisor, she came back to say that this was something new this year that applied to Diamonds and Golds who had been such for at least 10 years. They will be exempt from qualifying for their respective levels by stays/nights for the next 3 years! Very nice gesture ^

I was wondering the same thing, but re: Gold. Had been Gold beginning 2002 then Diamond since 2006 but only qualified for Gold via CC spend for 2012 due to change in stay patterns. I wonder if my Gold will be extended to 2014 given my history of at least Gold for the past 10 yrs.
