Eugene, that is what I will do. She took my USAir number and then said she couldn't enter it because they don't honor USAir, Thanks for your response

Most likely, she just didn't enter proper two-letter code for USAirways...

Bally's Upgrade for Hilton Gold-Help?

I will be travelling to LV on Monday (not for Comdex) for three days. Would appreciate some advice re what type of upgrade I should ask for. Not sure if I will even get one due to Comdex being on, but would like to try anyway.

Having read the posts, would appreciate advice if I should ask for the "Concierge level" or for the "22 Club".

Thanks.

You have slighlty better chances of getting an upgrade by checking at the Park Place Entertainment airport booth (next to the baggage carousels).

Yes, the airport is usually more liberal than the front desk.

Thanks for the check-in advice.

Now should I ask for a Concierge Floor or this 22-Club floor. What are the differences?

Many thanks.

Bally's part of HHonors?

Is Bally's in Las Vegas part of the HHonors program? If so, do you think I can get an upgrade there? Is the property any good?

At last check you will receive points but NO benefits ( i.e no upgrade or free breakfast)

Do a search on Bally's- this has been discussed numerous times on these boards

I've always had more luck at Paris than Ballys, where they offer either a suite upgrade or access to the 30th floor concierge lounge to golds and diamonds. (You must ask for it upon check in, and airport check-in is best chance.)

But this week was the first time I ever went to Ballys "Club 22" lounge on their 22nd floor. Apparently they only offer it to diamonds, and again, it has to be put in your record upon registration.

Both rooms have a nice selection of brekfast pastries, fruits, etc. and afternoon hot and cold snacks.

And yes, they do give the points.

Just got back from Bally's a couple of weeks ago, sometimes you'll get a room U/G, but no free breakfast (as a Gold).

They did credit me for a stay, points, and miles though.

Up-date re Upgrade Bally's Las Vegas

I've noted suggestions for getting 22nd Floor/Club upgrade, i.e., requesting it at Airport Park Place, at front desk of hotel, slipping a $20 at front desk. Any feelings about what is "best way" during one of their less-booked periods(end of March)? OR--is the effort not worth it if Lounge is not very good for food and drinks? Many thanks.

Actually the last week in March this year combines Easter week and Passover.

From the offers I've been receiving in the mail, the casinos are desperate and are being very generous. YMMV

Bally's Las Vegas

I noticed there was a special Orbitz rate of $49. for the week of Dec. 22. If you use an Orbitz special, do you still get your HH rates? Trying to find a time when the DS(darling son) will not miss school. Got college coming in 2 years, have gotten even cheaper.
