That said I often stay at Rosemont Hilton or ES or at the HGI ORD. It usually just depends upon when I arrive at ORD.

You get free breakfast buffet (hot and cold items). The buffet, not exceptional, but was fine by me and met my expectations (stayed there Tuesday night).

I have a one night stay here Saturday and an 8:15 a.m. flight home Sunday on Delta.
I've seen signs pointing to the Hilton in the tunnel from the L so I am assuming I don't have to walk outside to get to that terminal and can use the Tunnel's. About how long of a walk is it? I'm going to be staying at the Hyatt in Rosemont tomorrow after I land and taking their shuttle, walking or uber to my meeting in Des Plaines Saturday and then going back to the Hyatt to get my bags and taking their shuttle to Ohare. How far of a walk is it to the Blue line L if I go to the city Saturday night?
Also wondering if they upgrade diamonds? I'm assuming they start serving breakfast early enough on Sunday I will have time enough to eat before walking over to the airport for my flight at 8:15?

Very short walk after going through the turnstiles. Iirc, turn left, turn right, and turn right again and you are in the lower level of the hotel by the gym, either take the elevators or escalator up to lobby level; maybe 50 yards total from the turnstiles? The only upgrades I've received here are consistently to runway view rooms. Breakfast starts at 6am.
From the Hyatt Rosemont to the Blue Line station, you have about a mile or so to walk. If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency it is about half that distance.

Sounds like I'll have plenty of time to grab breakfast at the hotel before leaving.

Stayed there Saturday night.
Even though there were suites for an upcharge available at Check-in the only upgrade they gave me was to a runway view room on the top floor which was ok since I only was in the room long enough to sleep anyway. Was cool seeing the planes lining up to take off from the room. Very nice for an early flight out of Terminal 2. Easy access to the blue line at ORD but it costs $5 outbound with the ORD CTA surcharge but still very convenient for getting to the Loop for dinner.
No issues getting premium wifi. They gave me a code at check in and told me to use the promo code for the highest speed wifi instead of logging in with my credentials. Wifi speed was fine for streaming.
Breakfast they give you a voucher and it said for gold or diamond. It specifically said it was a limit of two vouchers per guest per day so they must not give out additional vouchers to people travelling with more than one other person. Pretty basic buffet with eggs, meat, potatoes and French toast, pretty limited fruit and bread selection. A poster further up said they had eggs cooked to order if you asked but my server knew nothing about it so either I had a clueless server or they no longer offer the eggs. Reminded me of the NYC Fashion District breakfast buffet.
The gym isn't 24/7 so I wasn't able to use it I passed by it on the way to the CTA and it looked nice.
Couple hints. if you are flying out of T2 and the weather is decent it's faster to go to the lobby level and enter out the front door and cross the street than to use the tunnel. If you like casino's go out the lobby level doors and cross the street to the transportation center and grab one of the many Rosemont hotel busses to the Hyatt Rosemont, the courtyard or the HGI and you are only a 2 minute walk from River's casino.

Hey all I have a quick question for those familiar with this location. I'm going to be booking a night there on November 24 to avoid a short connection to an international flight in the morning. I was wondering what the odds of getting an early check-in and what it would cost for someone with no status. My flight will, in theory, weather permitting will arrive at 7:45 am and I'd really like to be able to drop my bag(s) before heading into the city to visit one or more of the museums. If early check-in isn't available (or is too pricey) is there a place I could drop one, maybe two bags until I check-in later in the day?

You could also check with desk (and even though they probably won't give you a room that early) they may check you in for later that day and arrange to deliver your bags to your room. Just pick up the keycard upon your return.

I just had a first-time stay at this property and will largely echo what posters above have offered. In short, the combination of a 6:15am departure and my usual airport pick being sold out made this an OK choice.
I got a corner room on the top floor which was comfortable; the recliner and the desk being in front of windows were pluses. The bathroom is quite small.
The restaurants are quite expensive though the food was fine. I saw a notation on the bar menu that patrons in the bar not ordering food will be charged an additional $15. The bar was full and is incredibly loud.
Bad weather was threatening to roll in as I checked in: I noticed a United voucher on the desk with a value of $103.50. A walk-up ahead of me claimed she was quoted $500.

Had a stay last week with an early departure so wasn't able to have breakfast but as a diamond was offered the voucher for the breakfast buffet in the restaurant when checking in. Upgraded to a runway view room which is fairly normal here. With an early departure the convenience of staying here and then walking out the front door, across the street, up the escalator, and 20 yards to precheck can't really be beat.

Completed two stays here in the past 2 weeks - one night each, going and coming from a TATL trip. Two rooms, 5 guests, all upgraded to top floor runway view. Both times was given 5 breakfast vouchers without any hassle.
I had stayed here a year ago when they gave vouchers to the little coffeeshop area only. I wrote a very nasty review when HH solicited feedback from the stay. A hotel manager responded, apologized, and said they'd received a lot of similar feedback and were revamping their Gold/Diamond breakfast offering. I'm glad to see that they followed through. ^
Side note: the lounge in this hotel is really trippy. No, not the Exec Lounge...there sadly isn't one of those...I'm talking about the timewarpy 1960's style velvety lounge...complete with piano player and 80-year-old lounge singer singing "Rhinestone Cowboy", among other lounge-singer favorites.

Stay Report - 8/9-8/9
Check In: I had two rooms reserved, a King and two doubles. When we arrived at 8:30 AM I'm very happy to say they were able to check us into the King ^ It was an upgraded one on the 10th floor with a view of the runways. When we arrived back at the hotel about 13 hours later from our day in Chicago we had no issues getting the second room. Both times we were given water and offered breakfast vouchers (which we declined as we had early flights).
Room: The two double rooms are disappointing as always and I got a view of the parking garage. Still, there were outlets near the bed, the Wifi worked fine and the shower was good. Can't complain too much.
Other: I do wish breakfast started later, 6 AM is too early for a lot of my airport stays, but I'm glad it would have been for the full buffet. I will note that all the employees I dealt with here were very friendly and provided great service.
