Wow great rate coming up even for a one night stay. Do you still accumuliate Hilton Honors points when booking this way? Thanks for the tip!
just got back from a weekend stay. they said i would get points for the stay.
checked in sat at 11:00 am room was ready they put us in a spa villa king fireplace, we had booked traditional casita, got 100 credit taken off bill for dining and retail, and had the breakfast erased from teh bill, it was $85 and included bacon bloddy mary's and a childs breakfast for our 4 year old, but they waived it all. think we will be going back on a sunday in a few weeks when the rate dropps to 98 per night
also they did not charge me the resort fee this time.
Stayed here weekend of 28th July. Booked lowest priced room and was upgraded to spa suite on check in. $50 resort credit given and resort fee also waived. Had a cheese and fruit platter in the room when we got back from swimming.
Myself and partner had a great time at the hotel. Only slight criticism was the room air conditioning had difficulty keeping room cold, but it was the end of July and very hot outside.
Will certainly be going back. One of the best hiltons I've stayed at.
I'll be staying here the end of the month, and I'm a little confused on the room types and ammenties in each.
I have reserved a Deluxe casita, 2 queens, poolside. This was a FamilyGetaway deal w/$100 resort credit. I'm a Hilton Gold. That's the room they offered with the deal.
What I want is a quiet, private room with a private hot tub or pool so I can go hermit for a couple days and read a book (I'm not a golfer, it's just a solo get-away). What kind of room should I be looking for? It will be my first time here.
thx!

then you want to book a hideaway casita. the pool side rooms will most likely be over run with kids. if you want your own pool then get the pueblo suite or hacienda suite they have their own yards with pool but run 600+ per night
a starlight castia will give you a private patio on the second floor it will be private but you may hear noise from a near by pool

Weird. I got no upgrade at all. I booked lowest room, they said they don't upgrade to spa villa/suite, since those are "privately owned".
No platter for this diamond member.
Bit disappointed.

I am at the resort right now- at checkin (I used the LHR collection) was told $100 credit per room and breakfast for 2 adults per room was free (just need to charge to room- they said kids would be covered but did not know up to what age)- will report back complete stay. Its an incredible resort but its so hot that the pool feels like a jacuzzi!

Did you book the FHR rate or direct with Hilton/W-A?
Via chase LHR. And i added my hhonor#, so they know i'm diamond for sure.
Well, I honestly haven't found LHR to be REMOTELY as good as FHR from American Express so not surprised in the least about this.
LHR's website is miserable, their agents very limited in what they can do, you can't manage the booking once it's done. And the benefits are usually poorer than FHR.

The reason i did LHR is because the other reported stays was via LHR. and they got whole breakfast comped ("full breakfast benefit").
The FHR is as usual list "continental breakfast", and no one has reported what breakfast they got with FHR.
So i figured, might as well go with LHR.
Next time i'll try booking via FHR and see if there's diff treatment.

Just got back (reminder used the LHR via chase united club)
- the entire breakfast bill was wiped so kids ate free- for 2 rooms that worked out to $235 for 2 breakfasts
- $100 credit worked out great
- was charged only one resort fee even though I had two room
- my bill stated that the HH point would post etc
All in all great stay- I found the food and service excellent at both 26 and the adobe grill
