Okay, now it gets interesting. I'm holding 5 nights at Metropole for 22,145 Points total. I know the drill so I've got the screen shot (and mail confirmation). I booked over the phone and the Diamond gal said "hmmm, this is something..." She booked it, said "if Hilton took the reservation they've got to honor it". I immediately got online and saw that Chrismas was coming early to me--> Park Lane for 7k/night, every London hotel has fantastic rates. Any guesses how this will play out?

So the drill is to call when you see a mistake rate? Good for you
I would not say the 'drill' is to call. Only to make sure you have your email confirmation.
This question is for the OP:
was your booking for a premium room? I am curious because those are the rates that sometimes differ and can actually be for less than the standard room rate, but it usually only last for a very short bit and doesn't always occur.
i too came across what was obviously an error in the system last night, managed to book hilton newcastle executive room with balcony for 3,800 points compared to the usual rate of 103,343!!
was in process of booking 3 nights at london park lane for 4,000 points a night when they must have realised the issue and refreshed the rates!! I was too slow.
I better explain myself. Months ago I booked a 5 night reward stay at another London Hilton but I like Metropole so yesterday afternoon I decided to see if they had king bed reward nights available for our trip at the end of the month. 99% of the time I book online but decided to call HH this time. I can't remember if I was speaking to Diamond desk or not, I assume it was Diamond as I provided my #. The agent and I were chatting when she said "This is strange, some crazy rates are avail". I kidded her and said "do people really book those 750kpoints/night rates?". She said there was availability @ 4,429pt/night and we both recognized that 4,429pts/night is a steal. I said that would work. While she was booking it I immediately got online, brought up the info too, grabbed a screen shot, asked her to double check as I like a deal as much as the next person but I'm not keen on playing games. We spoke for 10 minutes, and I repeatedly asked if it's okay to book it as rooms are usually 50k/night. She repeatedly told me if it's booked, HH must honor it (?). I received the email, sure enough it said 22,145 points for stay and 22,145 points were taken out of my account. I then called HH back and asked another agent to look at my reservation and tell me if it's legit as the points seem out of whack. I actually called 2x after booking because the last thing I need when I arrive Christmas night after flying all day is to find out the hotel cancelled my reservation. I made a point of telling the agents it seems too good to be true. I want to stress that I brought this great rate to the attention of a few agents, each time asking "Is this okay? Is this reservation valid?" Each time they said the reservation was valid. As I said, I like a deal as much as the next person and I'm not comfortable cheating but I'm also not stupid - if Hilton will honor this rate I'll take it and be thankful.
My first post was to alert others to the deal. Boasting/bragging was the last thing on my mind. Wondering if the rate was legit and would be honored was the first.
BTW I have 1 1/2 million points in my account.
