Has anyone made Diamond on nights, but not by points or stays?

I think the Diamond qualifications are fair. It seems like most people would hit the points or stays threshold before the one for nights. Has anyone made it with 60 nights but not had 100,000 points or 28 stays? I have usually made it with points with about 30 nights. This year I am coming up a little short, maybe.

I'll be fairly close to hitting it by nights this year and might consider a little "redemption MR" to keep the Diamond. No anywhere close on stays or points.

I hit every year on stays, but my nights are usually over 60 or at least close to 60.

I'll be close on nights, but have no chance on points or stays. My stays are generally a week at a time, and I stay at the government rate so nights will always be easiest for me.

I hit two years ago with a long vacation stay at the Grand Wailea and two weddings with stays at the Waldorf in NYC. Base spend was just over $11,000. It was the best of years, it was the worst of years!

I hit it on nights last year, I'll be gold on points this year. Starwood promos are keeping me away from Hilton, and I've been making a bunch of trips to Switzerland which is lacking in the Hiltons.

I agree, and made SPG Platinum this year. I have always made it on points with about 30 nights at between $300 and $400 a night. I have had some incredible corporate rates this year and will be at around 75,000 points and 31 nights by next week. I will have about 24 stays

I was at 60 nights this year well before I was at points or stays. At 30 stays, 128 nights and forget what my base points are.

At one point earlier this year, I was at 21 stays, 63 nights and under 100k base. So yes, I did make it on nights initially, but not on stays or base points.

I always (14 years) make it on nights, 60+, often 100+. Stays too. Don't watch/track points.

i always make it on nights as well. i usually stay 6-9 nights at a time. i have been doing this for several years without meeting the stays or points
