Just checked into the SF Union Square. Check-in agent said your "My Way" profile is free Internet and I said that is correct. She handed me my keys and I asked if the breakfast vouchers were in the packet. She said that if I choose free internet I don't get that. I said as a Diamond member with no executive lounge at this hotel (which is freaking unbelievable), I do. She said no, and I said please don't make me boot up my computer and show you the policy. She said well I can make an exception this time. I reminded her that following policy is not making an exception. Why do travellers know more than the people working the desk! And this hotel is not a Cat 6 for free stays. It is old and the only thing it has going for it is its location in the middle of SF.

Had a great stay here about three weeks ago. Upgraded to a large corner junior suite (had great view of Obama's motorcade for his fundraiser that night in SF). Offered breakfast coupons or a buy-up to the full buffet for $7 (which we took; buffet not great, but decent selection for $7). My company rate includes Internet, so no worries there. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
I've stayed here before a few times back when they had an exec lounge and, quite frankly, I don't really miss it. It was always a zoo and they would charge for drinks back when other Hiltons were still giving them free in their exec lounges. And I love the location.

According to the MyWay page on the HHonors website, the agent was correct. What were you going to show her when you "booted up"???
From the HHonors website, you can choose ONE of the following:
- Receive a space-available room upgrade, including breakfast.*
You will be upgraded to an Executive Floor room (where/when available) at time of check-in. If an Executive Floor room is unavailable, you will be upgraded to the next best available room from the room type booked. Upgrades exclude suites, villas and specialty accommodations. At hotels with Executive Floor lounges, if an Executive Floor room upgrade is available, you will also receive access to the lounge. In addition, you will receive complimentary Continental breakfast for you and up to one additional registered hotel guest each day of your stay.
- Enjoy complimentary high-speed internet access, each day of your stay.
At hotels that already offer a choice of a standard or higher-speed connection, you will receive access to the higher-speed connection at no cost. If a hotel does not offer high-speed internet connectivity, simply choose another option.
- Earn 1,000 Hilton HHonors® bonus points per stay.
A great way to maximize your points earnings.

If the hotel doesn't have exec.lounge doesn't mean a diamond can choose two. If individual hotels give you internet and breakfast doesn't mean all of them have to do the same, as the policy NEVER said you get two.
I suggest next time stay at Hilton SF Financial District, as all the rooms have free internet. In that case, you will get internet and breakfast at the same time without any questions.
Speaking of the 2 hotels I am traveling there in March and plan on staying night one at Union Square, $99 pay in advance rate, then using our 2 free certs (my wife and I are both Diamonds) at the Financial District. I havn't been to SF since the lounges closed; any new comparisons of the properties? The front desk at Financial District said even though they closed the lounge they have a nice breakfast area for Diamonds/Golds and a cocktail reception every evening where munchies are provided we pay for drinks, sounds ok to me.

It's not anything close to what you would find in an exec. lounge. You receive 1 coupon per person good for one item per day from the bar's appetizer menu (mini egg rolls, wings, a quesadilla, etc). You have to sit and wait to be attended to. Soft drinks are free, but of course now you are in a situation where you are expected to tip a server. I don't remember any munchies being served other than the little appetizer plates.

The area is next to the restaurant, and it is not guarded nor an enclose room. Breakfast is continental, if you want hot items then you have to pay $6. Munchies are not provided instead of two bar bites voucher unless something change recently.

Well I got two coupons, but no drink coupon nor anyone ever mentioned I can get soft drinks for free. If you don't want to tip the server you can ask for it to go, that was what I did. I mean you already need to wait for them to cook (It took at least 15 min for them to get me garlic fries and quesadilla), who has time still sit there and eat. I could have a dinner by then.
Stayed Sat night, the hotel has been completly remodled from its old days as a Sheraton, the hotel is nice and clean but has a cold feel to it if you know what I mean, everyone is nice but it just seems cold. I checked in there were 4 people at the front desk and just me, I was giving my room 13th. floor and a little card about the executive lounge, I was asked if this was my first visit and I said yes. I went to the elevator and noticed the elevator had 15 floors so I assumed but was not sure that I was not on the executive lounge floor. Got to my room and then headed to find the lounge, searched my floor and there was none, so got the elevator and my key would not allow 15 floor access, went down and told them the guy kind of acted like it was my fault, he re-actived the key and guess what 15th floor no problem. You would have thought when they asked if this was my first visit they would have explained that to me, yes I could have asked but I just assumed (shame on me). At any rate overall nice hotel and close to airport but a very wierd vibe...... No big deal just thought I would share

A few weeks ago I only got one coupon and no mention of drinks. Be careful to not order a non-compliant appetizer. I wasn't impressed with the consolations they think they are offering in lieu of an exec lounge or the bar service. Breakfast was $7 for the upgrade.

Spent two nights this past weekend at the Financial District. Got two coupons for Continental Breakfast (Good Selection) and two Bar Bites Coupons. Also had free Internet.
Beautiful view of the Coit Tower and Telegraph Hill out my window on the 19th floor.
