• The hotel's official name (as it appears on the folio/bill, or on the Hilton website)
• The city, state (if US), province (if Canada), or country (if neither), with the possible exceptions of the most major cities which it is very widely known which state they are in (I'm thinking Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami here). This is to help with thread organization.
• Whether you were able to get a continental, full, or intermediate breakfast, or something else (e.g. a dollar value coupon, a coffee shop voucher, etc.)* Please don't say just "buffet breakfast" as that is ambiguous.
• If you could choose a higher option at an extra fee, details of this (please use local currency and indicate whether tax and service are included if you know)
• If there was an executive lounge, whether you had to take breakfast there or could choose the restaurant
• Your HHonors status at the time of your stay, if it is not in your profile
• If you had more than two people in your room, was the same breakfast available to all or was it limited to two?

To keep the thread clean, please do not post the following

• Anything about Hilton Garden Inns, Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, or Embassy Suites. HGI offers full breakfast to Gold and Diamond guests and all the others give the same breakfast to all guests. The purpose of this thread is to establish which hotels that are required to offer complimentary continental breakfast go the extra mile to full breakfast, and which ones try to skimp on the offering.
• Street addresses or the intersection the hotel is near, as this requires extra work for everyone to figure out which hotel you mean
• Requests for information on hotels not listed or requests for recent updates on a particular hotel. These need to go in the thread relating to that hotel. In most cases, the people who know the answer won't be reading this thread.

Having seen a lot of queries I thought it might be worthwhile to start a master thread on what class of breakfast is offered free of charge to HHonors Gold and Diamond guests, and other relevant details. Please feel free to post your own experiences and I'll try to keep the top post updated. This applies particularly if you've stayed at a hotel where the offering doesn't match what's noted here, as it may have changed (or the person posting first may have been lucky/unlucky).

The thread will mainly be about Hiltons, Conrads, and Doubletrees. Hamptons, Homewoods, Home2s, and Embassy Suites are out of scope as they offer the same complimentary breakfast to everyone. HGIs are supposed to offer full breakfast to Gold/Diamond members, but feel free to post exceptions. W=As are not required to offer breakfast to status guests (this was supposed to change in early 2012, but I can't say I've seen any movement), although again please post if one does.

*For the purpose of clarity, a full breakfast is defined for the purpose of this thread as a continental breakfast plus at least hot eggs, and three or more other hot items, at least two to be meat of some sort, and not counting bread or bread derivatives. An intermediate breakfast is a continental breakfast plus at least one hot item of some sort (most commonly this will be bacon and eggs).

US and Canada are in the next post. Numbers, where present in the entries, refer to the post number where the hotel was reported (in case you want to look for more details), but I only started doing this around post 815. I may go back through if I have time.

Drake-If you don't get upgraded to the exec floor, you don't get lounge access at other times, but they will try telling you that you can use the lounge for breakfast. If you don't get upgraded and they won't allow you access to the lounge at other times, demand a hot breakfast buffet voucher.

Wit (DT)-Breakfast voucher that covers almost everything on the menu. On weekends it is good till pretty late and many lunch items are on the brunch menu as well. One of the best breakfasts out there.

Chicago Hilton-Lounge continental. Wasn't given the option to upgrade and breakfast isn't very good.

Palmer House-Lounge breakfast. Breakfast is ok and lounge is nice but verty congested on weekends. Haven't been given the option to upgrade, but have had the buffet inluded in my room price before which is very good.

Doubletree Times Square. Great breakfast buffet. They have both continental and a full buffet. As a diamond I was given the full buffet but have been told for golds it's only the continental and there is an upcharge for hot items.

HGI-8th Avenue. When I stayed there was a voucher for a special menu with many hot choices. I am told now it is a buffet.

HGI-Chelsea-Buffett, offers cook to order eggs and omlettes and waffles are freshly made by the chef.

Hiklton Financial District-There is a continental buffet but diamonds are given the option of vouchers that can be used for many hot menu items.

Times Square Hilton-been a while since I stayed there but last time it was a hot buffet.

Hilton NYC-lounge breakfast and wasn't given the option to upgrade.
