FWIW, HH CSR said they would "consider it," pending me sending an email verifying my *wood status. Maybe she was misinformed / misspoke. Or maybe "consider it" is code for being redirected to the MVP Challenge...

Thanks. Looks like 4 stays or 9 nights in 90 days. I like Hilton's product for quick, low-cost leisure trips to MSY vs *wood. This may be the excuse I need...

Agreed. I'd be trading up. *wood has been very good to me lately, but I always have my eyes open.

Thanks again.

Question: Was on a 90 day challenge from Gold to Diamond that ended August 3rd. I reached 21 days on August 5th and not August 3rd and I am still checked into the hotel.

I was told after I checkout to wait for 2 days then call and see if they will grant me Diamond status.

I really need to be Diamond since I will be back at the same hotel in 2 weeks.

Do you expect Hilton will give me any issues? Any tips or tricks? Who should I call to plead my case?

Thanks!

I sent a pdf of my current status page from Marriott (showing number of nights that year, etc.,) to hhonors@hilton.com. I asked for an upgrade to Gold status, and was given Diamond status through Feb 2013. (I already had a few Hilton stays and had an upcoming reservation for a seven-week stay.) IIRC, it took about a week for Hilton to respond to my email.

Thanks Carole.

I will be staying with them for around 90nights in next 4months but my stays are booked at Marriott since I have Plat with them. Would making my reservations with Hilton as well help?

I truly don't know. I mentioned the stay to let them know I was already a customer. (I actually didn't have a choice of hotels; my co-workers were staying at the Hilton.) I figured the worst that could happen was they would say no.

Good luck and let us know what happens!

Finally, I have something from HHonors.

It took a week of bickering with them on the phone and email which was a royal pain. Calling up MR and signing up with them was a 30second job... Anyways, they gave me Diamond Fast track (21 nights in 90days) and temporary Gold for that duration. Not impressed.

Unless as a Gold, I can pull enough weight to get suite upgrades, it's a bit of a downer. 21nights is not a big deal for me as I can pull it off in give or take 4weeks. But it means an earning cost of ~75K MR points in that period. What do you guys say? Go with it or skip it?

IMO, depends on what you'll use the 75k MR points for.............

Maybe a travel package or a hotel stay... Ideally anything that lets me redeem at minimum 2cpp. I have no idea. But why does it matter?

Its just not about the points. I will also be deviating elite nights from my MR account which I can rollover to next year.

I did the same for SPG (sent pdf showing 66 nights completed in 2012). They still sent back asking for a copy of my "2011 end of year activity". My spg online account no longer shows 2011 stays, so I am not really sure how to respond!!

No reply to status match request

Hello one and all,

Following the advice on this thread I have emailed hhonours@hilton.com about 2 weeks ago, but no reply to date.

Does anyone have any other suggested email addresses for this purpose?

Thanks

RB

Just a thought: you probably need to use the US spelling. Try hhonors@...

Many thanks Roger.

I suspect, like you, that that will have been the problem!!

Thanks
