Point Stretcher Hotel Reward Questions and Information: The Definitive Thread

I have found the same situation at the Windsor Hilton (Ont. Canada) & the Doubletree downtown Richmond VA. I view it as a de facto PS !

Perhaps some GMs know their point prices are too high!

It's now mid-December and no 2012 point stretcher dates for any hotels are listed. Do they normally cut it this close?

So I looked at the link.

I got rid of ?selectedBrand=CH at the end of the link, and then I get to the Point Stretcher page:

There are no Point Stretcher Dates available for Hilton Worldwide Hotels.

Unfortunately, I get the same error page no matter which brand I select (because there are no dates available).

I emailed the diamond desk last night and here is the answer I got

With the recent launch of Points & Money Rewards the Point Stretcher rewards have been discontinued. Our new Points & Money Rewards option lets you get away faster than ever using fewer HHonors points.

Bye bye Point Stretchers. Got the last PS redemption in at the end of November at Conrad Koh Samui for 30K HH.

While the availability and points required varies by participating hotels and stay dates at time of booking, Points & Money Rewards allow more flexibility throughout the year as opposed to limiting the availability to a list of predetermined dates.

Phase I has been all about points. This is Phase II. We get to choose between points-only and points & cash awards. Phase III will be when all awards are points & cash. May not be soon. They have to let the concept settle in with Phase II.

At times I would build my long weekend mileage/matress runs with point stretchers!
