I have a big $$$ stay this weekend and I signed up for the EQM promotion (ends Oct 15th).

Does registering for this new promotion nullify the EQM promotion?

Thanks for the link!

I signed up for double base points, as I have a number of stays scheduled during the remaining part of 2009. The page stated, along with the terms and conditions (to institutionalize them here):

"You have selected:

Double Hilton HHonors® Base points

Remember, this special offer ends December 31, 2009, so book your next stay now. We look forward to welcoming you to a Hilton Family hotel soon!

Terms and Conditions:

Offer valid for stays completed between October 5 and December 31, 2009 at participating hotels. To participate, you must be a member of HHonors and register for the promotion at HiltonHHonors.com/PickOffer2009 prior to check-in. Guests not currently enrolled in the HHonors program may register at HiltonHHonors.com. Members may only select one of the two offers and offers cannot be combined. Maximum number of bonus points earned as part of this promotion cannot exceed 75,000 bonus points. Once the member has made a selection, the offer choice is final and cannot be changed. “Double Base points” means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base points earned during a stay. Bonus points earned on Base points do not count toward VIP tier qualification. Registered members must check-in and check-out between October 5 and December 31, 2009 to be eligible to receive bonus points. Offer cannot be combined with other select promotional rates, bonus points and/or miles offers. Hilton HHonors® membership, earning of Points & Miles®, and redemption of points are subject to HHonors Terms and Conditions. ©2009 Hilton Hotels Corporation."

(My underscoring.)

I picked the 25K bonus as I won't be staying at enough properties during this period to get more with the double base points. It is a bit lame though compared to other programs, but you take what you can get.

wording is confusing

i was under the impression that you got 25k after 4 stays period, done

or

double base points no limits.

i took the double base points as i have 12 stays 50 to 55 days till the end of the year

i think i picked the correct one to maximize points. but now that each 4 stays net you 25k not so sure

Won't let me log in either. Have a stay coming up in Kauai, will certainly use priceline or hotwire over staying at the hilton if this is "targeted". Then we're off to take advantage of the great Hyatt promos at the Grand Hyatt!

The fine print says the limit is 75k for double points. Still a better deal then 25k if you are going to go over for sure. If it is close I would pick the 25k since 4 stays can be done in a week or two.

Hi Jassy,

Here is what our Terms and Condition's state on this scenario:

Members will not earn points or miles for Reward Stays or hotel stays redeemed with a marketing partner’s discount/free certificate (e.g. frequent flyer award or travel award), unless otherwise stated on the certificate. But members may earn points (not miles) for incidental charges at a Hilton Family hotel during a Reward Stay, provided such charges are deemed eligible folio charges at Hilton®, Conrad® Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree®, Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Grand Vacations®, and the Waldorf Astoria hotels. Members will not earn points for incidental charges during a Reward Stay at a Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites® or Homewood Suites by Hilton® hotel. Members will not earn points for incidental charges during hotel stays redeemed with a marketing partner’s discount/free certificate unless otherwise stated on the certificate. For purposes of counting stays and nights for VIP tier qualification (as explained below), Reward Stays will count towards the number of overall stays and nights.

Hope this helps clarify.

I picked the 25K for 4 stays option as I already have 4 stays booked and my total spend for the rest of the year will come nowhere near the $2500 you would need to net 25,000 points from the double points option. However, it would help if HHonorsRepresentative could clarify whether you can earn an additional 25,000 points with 4 more stays, or if they would publish the specific T&C's for the 4 stay option.

I'm glad all hotels are participating. I would have had the max 5 stays for the Q3 promo if all had participated in that one.

Unless I'm missing something this still doesn't make clear whether an award stay counts as one of the four stays under the Q4 promo.

I knew HH would come up with a promo after I booked my Oct stays at Hyatt. I would have stayed with HH even though the free Hyatt night is worth more than the 25k points I would have been able to retain Diamond status.

They have in previous promos. I would expect they would count in this one too.

If you are staying at Hilton®, Conrad® Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree®, Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Grand Vacations®, or the Waldorf Astoria hotels, and you have incidental charges, you will receive the bonus points for the Q4 offer.

Do I read you right?

I'm assuming the definition of a "stay" is the same as always, and includes stays on point redemptions as well.

Too bad this couldn't have started Friday, as I had two stays over the weekend!

Doug

Doug - you are correct concerning the points you receive on the multi stays.

Concerning points on reward stays, you will receive bonus points if you have incidentals at Hilton®, Conrad® Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree®, Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Grand Vacations®, or the Waldorf Astoria hotels only. If you stay at Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites® or Homewood Suites by Hilton® hotels and have incidental charges, you will not receive the Q4 bonus points.
