Sirius / XM radio same in every car

I do like Hertz and always rent from them for my business travels. Now when I have a long drive I usually add on the Sirius extra (or get a free upgrade for it) and I really enjoy it. I'd never get Sirius at home for my personal vehicle so it's a nice treat.

Now the problem I find is having to set the stations to my favorites when I get into the vehicle. It's not a big issue, nor does it take that long to fix, but wouldn't it be awesome if Hertz/Sirius knew who you were and knew your favorites? That's just my suggestion. Not sure how hard it would be to implement, but if you can load stuff onto the NeverLost why can't you do the same for Sirius.

And it would be nice if every car had Howard Stern and all of the sports stations, but that's a different complaint.

Entering three or four SiriusXM stations as presets takes less than a minute.

I would bet it would take longer to find the menu step, put in the code and all the rest to restore presets from some external device than it would to just reenter them when you get a new car.

How hard is it to remember a half dozen channels, they don't change by location.

My current favorite stations are 2, 8, 9, 14, 51, 52 and thats with them programmed into my car's radio.

I guess that would work if it came with the feed from Sirius - they'd shoot the signal to the radio after you entered your code with info stored in their system.

Heck, they can't even do this when I have an account with two cars and two radios. I have to individually program the two.

Of course, not a big deal for me, I spend about 90% of my time scrolling through the decades from beginning to end and then back again.

+1.

51 is great on the treadmill. 53 is a soothing background when working on the computer.

For some reason, 50 isn't available on any Chrysler vehicle I've rented with SiriusXM; works fine on GMs.

Chrysler's use Sirius recievers and channel 50 (The Groove) is only available online, GM uses XM and 50 is available online and via satellite.

Well apparently I listen to more stations than most. I like to program about 15 stations when on the long drives. Combination of music, news, comedy, and sports. I like programming everything I'd want since most cars have easy channel changing from the steering wheel.

Now I didn't realize people that pay for the service weren't even able to sync their devices. That seems like it'd be a reasonable request.

Some of the vehicles come with Sirius/XM with all programming available and others come with portions deleted (Howard 100/101 amongst others). I guess it depends on the deal that Hertz got when they bought the vehicles.
