Received: F - 2014 Chevy Malibu LTZ, 35,000 Miles
Not an upgrade, but given past experience with Hertz, the features on the car were nice, and the staff was actually quite friendly.

Reserved C
Had a few options, Volvo V40 D4, Audi A4 Manual or the BMW 116i Sport, Was not sure what to take, took the BMW (Keyfob said C1), was really disappointed, stiff reverse gear, poor pickup, at 50 was suggesting 6th on drive assist thing. MPG was poor, what was more odd is despite it being a brand new car, the BMW site says they don't do 116i anymore and had no specs for it, drove to work and thought no this is not for me. Decided to turn back and get the Audi instead. Can see why its a C1 felt like a Focus but upgraded

Yes: Kia Sportage 1.7 CRDi 3
Brown, leather, reversing camera, no nav.
Nice car although it's starting to feel a little old as a design.

Booked C
&I also got the Kia Sportage 1.7 CRDi
Black leather but no reverse camera. Also I found it has very bad blind spots but I must say it has good leg room for a 6'+ person

Agree with the Sportage comments on legroom - it also handles well and the engine is pleasingly eager.
However, I ended up exchanging the Kia because the glue on one of the window seals had dried up, which meant that it was hanging down and slapping against the car. I'd have just taped it up if it were my own car but I didn't want to deal with a damage claim and you could see where the glue had gone...
I now have a Nissan Qashqai instead.
Incidentally, having had both an Impala and a Chrysler 300 from Hertz, in each case 2015s with about 1,000 miles on the clock - which does GW McClintock (or anyone else) prefer?
I think I should prefer the 300 from the way it drove - very eager and surprisingly rewarding when pressing on - but there's something about the Impala as a means of transportation that just 'fits'.

Impala LT (assuming it has a V6 and not the four-banger)... it's a draw.
Ironically, although the LTZ is much better equipped, I think I still like the LaCrosse more I do agree with your sentiments about the Impala, though. The 300 drove very nicely, but I'm not a fan of the gear selector knob (and no paddle shifters or anything to change gears otherwise) and the 8-speed (I think?) can be a little jerky. I get the same fuel economy in the 6-speed GMs.

Yes: F4 - 2015 Grand Cherokee with NL and SatRad, 20k miles, looked and drove like new.
No backup camera or sensors, though, which made reversing a little exciting. Not used to driving a tank like that.

Received: J- Mercedes-Benz E220 Bluetec, 1000km on odometer
Very happy with the upgrade. Put 550km on the car in 12 hours and loved every minute of it.
Pickings were slim at this location and mostly new black Mercedes-Benz products. Saw an E cabrio, ML SUV, and an S-Class.

Staff at the Gold booth couldn't explain to me why they couldn't give me one of the two Impala LTZs with <2k miles parked two spaces away from the Maxima. He kept repeating that those had been "assigned" to other customers, and had no explanation why one couldn't be reassigned to me, and the Maxima reassigned to one of those other customers, who hadn't yet arrived.
