This one seems pretty good. What is it from?

The best discount I can find is the 15% off with either Amex Platinum or AAA. Unfortunately I don't have an Amex Platinum or AAA card to present at check-in. Is this a problem?

If so, is there any 15% off CDP code where I won't have to show any id/card?

That could be a problem since some counters do check especially the AAA. Do you have a United or any other loyalty programs? Most have CDP of up to 20% along with PC codes.

(CDP) 1859906 must be included in reservation

The best rate I could find for a recent trip to LAX was (CDP)1859906, this must be included in reservation to receive rates and benefits. I have preloaded into my Hertz Gold profile- you also must be a public sector or non profiy employee.

What ID do they require if you preload it into your Hertz Gold file?

The AMEX codes seem to give decent discounts - will they actually ask for an Amex card when you show up?

Bump - so when using a CDP code, what are the chances that they will ask for related documentation, such as Amex card?

I haven't ever been asked for documentation of any of the CDPs that I have used. But I'm a Gold member, so really only have to talk to somebody for a few seconds before taking the car away.

Very low I'd say. Out of the 100s of rentals I've done only once did a jerk at MCO bothered me for one, which I actually did have.

The BIG SAVINGS CDP actually priced up my rental $30 more than using the Marriott 10% CDP. I guess it wasn't valid for the rental I was trying

FYI Each AAA club has a different club number prefix which is the CDP for your car rental and a different deal for each different state club. Each state has a different price and not all AAA rentals are the same low price. They always ask for my card when I use Hertz AAA discount. I had to use my Parents card when I was in NY because my Texas AAA would have been much more to rent in NY> Best AAA discount is in your own state! Buyer beware. The best discounts are the VISA discounts.
