At airports there is something called gold alerts, where you are text what vehicle was assigned to you an hour before the rental starts.

At big airports. I doubt little HPN does that.

HPN isn't exactly a large location. Judging from the booking engine, Prestige vehicles aren't even listed at HPN which means that there will likely be none there unless someone does a one-way to HPN or somebody calls in and requests one specifically. I'd assume they'd have a decent PCAR/LCAR selection though.

You'll get a Gold Alert/"Carfirmation" email/text message if they get your contract ready before you show up. I got one from my HLE (tiny!) yesterday an hour before they picked me up. Doesn't have to do with size (although many people say bigger is better lol).

I'd assume they'd have a decent PCAR/LCAR selection though.

The lot at HPN is tiny, and shared among all the agencies. Each seems to have about 5 or so parking spaces. I've seen some extra spaces on the other side of the single terminal, closer to the charter flight hangar. There also seems to be a larger overflow/service lot on the top of the hill, across from the regular parking garage.

Thanks so much to a hertz rep!!

Do you guys remember that Buick Lacrosse I was saying I wanted so much for my trip in January? Well lets just say a hertz rep is helping to ensure I get that car for my trip (or better). Hertz is a great company. This is why I only rent from Hertz

I own a LaCrosse and have received 2 of them as rentals. If you're looking for a car with a sporty feel, this really isn't it.

They are also not all equipped the same. You should check with the rental location to make sure you're getting what you want.
