huh, that must have scared them. I guess the only way it would be cheaper is when you go into the office with your weapon drawn

I'm thinking it was some sort of glitch, because now, if I try to make another reservation there, using the same options, the rate is slightly cheaper than the standard, but nowhere near the $12.99/day rate.

Looking for a rental in Jan. 2012; need unlimited miles
Pick up / return in the Maryland suburbs of Wash. DC
Does anyone have suggestions?

Anyone know when the rates will be available for January? I am not seeing any.

Thanks....

Are you asking about coupons being available or rates in general? Rates are definitely available for that time period now and CDP's should discount the rate.

Most (but not all) PC Codes however expire by 12/31 latest right now, and new ones may not be available until Nov/Dec for Jan pickup.

I just tried this one and got : 166609 is not a valid coupon number. You may go back and correct the coupon number or proceed with your reservation (coupon will be removed).

You put the number in the wrong field. It's a CDP code--not a PC code. It should go in the Discount/CDP/Club Code: field.

It's a CDP code, not a coupon code. Try it in the CDP code field.

Any news about that? Do you had to pay the 50 bucks?

Good tip, thanks.

BTW, what did you decide on the whole USAA underage gold membership thing?

My belated $0.02 would be that if they let you off the lot with it it's on them. It's not like you are not allowed to drive the car and you deceived them. After all, your information is on file in their computer.

The only question is if they choose to charge you more for being young. And that is a choice on their part, since they regularly waive the underage fee. So when they let you have the car they assented to you driving their car -- without an extra fee.

See how that would play out to a judge?
