Next time go directly to the HA website. It's very user friendly and shows far more choices (and less expensive ones) than the code shares. I fly from HNL to LIH five or six times a year. Seldom have I had to pay over $120 ill in., but then I plan far ahead.
Access to Hawaiian Airlines lounges are only available to Hawaiian's elite members. No other elites for partner airlines, with the exception of United elites, unless traveling on a first class tickets on Hawaiian Airlines, are allowed access to these lounges.
I'm confused by this. Do United elites get access to HA lounges? We are flying in/out of KOA on HA (connecting from/to a United flight in HNL).
Our credentials:
2 of us are:
United 1K
BMI Gold
the other 2 of us are:
United 2P
Our HA flights are booked as award tickets. Will we get access? Is it even worth asking? Does United status help the standby situation? We have a long layover in HNL, and would be happy to get an earlier flight.
Most of the questions here seem to be focused on the connections between the mainland and other islands, but my question is reversed. Have a 4 hour layover on CO from LAX-HNL, then HA onto LIH. No problem.
On the way back however my HA flight from LIH gets into HNL at 7:40pm. NW changed our 10:35pm flight so CO (purchased 4 tickets using CO miles) put us on their 8:30pm flight. Will this be enough time or should I look into paying the change fee with HA to get on an earlier flight into HNL? This is not until August but trying to plan ahead since I know summer is the busy season.

Thanks in advance.
If your HA flight is on time (and they're often early - best on time record in the business), you should be fine. I have a 50 minute connection from HA to AA this afternoon and I'm n-not w-w-w-worried. And I always walk instead of the Wiki-Wiki. You should check in in advance and print your boarding pass, however, to save a few minutes.
I am going from OGG-HNL-Mainland. I am on HA for the hopper and switching over to DL to come back to the mainland. Just wanting to know if I will do the Ag inspection at OGG or HNL?

Assuming that you inter-line check your bags through all the way to the mainland, then you will do it at OGG.
If you've only got carry-on, then you'll do it on either the walk to the overseas terminal from the HNL inter-island terminal or before boarding the WikiWiki shuttle between the HNL inter-island terminal and the overseas terminal.

Ag Inspection for your checked luggage will be in OGG when you hand it over, and for your carry-on when you move from the Interisland Terminal to the Overseas Terminal in HNL.

Correct! This bags will be automatically go through TSA baggage screening system after you completely done aq inspections for your returns back to USA mainland. It won't have any problems at all. Your bags does not need to be pick up in HNL but, they will be automatically your bags will be arriving into USA Mainland.

Let me add that this is true only if you've interlined your bags to the US Mainland if you're traveling on two separate tickets (e.g., OGG-HNL on HA and HNL-Mainland Destination on your choice of carrier). No one should expect that one's bags will be automatically interlined between HA and the second carrier under these circumstances when transiting in HNL. One should always ask the agent to "interline" the bags to the final destination and check the bag tags upon depositing one's bags in OGG or another inter-island departure city to ensure that the bag tags indeed read the final destination on them.
