Hawaiian Sun Products

My husband is addicted to Hawaiian Sun Pass-O-Guava & Guava drinks. I could use some ideas regarding getting this stuff to the East Coast.

Normally we hit K-mart, buy several cases, pick up some boxes & mail them to ourselves. We can get about 1 1/2 cases in a box (we help ourselves to bottled water empty boxes) and it costs about $35 to send each carton.

Last year I found a company in CA that stocked these products & mail ordered them. So on our last trip we didn't send any home. This company no longer ships the Hawaiian Sun fruit drinks.

I just noticed that Hawaiian Sun is selling online themselves, but at the princely sum of $53 PER CASE shipped via BOAT. It's over $60 for airmail.

So, the point of this is to see if anyone knows of a supplier on the continental US that ships. I don't mind paying a little extra for it so we don't have to bother buying it when we're in Hawaii.

Ideas?

Wow... didn't know that people were addicted to that stuff.

Go to www.zippys.com and buy the concentrate. That should make it a lot easier than buying it in bulk (like the 12/6 packs) and just add water and presto, instant Guava juice/Passion Orange.

... oh and next time you're here, you might want to get your Hawaiian Sun from Costco rather than K-Mart.

Mahalo... We may give some a try. Thanks for the link. I'm sure we'll be using it!

Yes, he's addicted. He buys about 3 cases, sends them home, and rations himself to one can a week & maybe one can for special occassions. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif. He does the same with Longboard Lager, but at least we found a distributor in CA that will ship.

Now, if we could only find the stuff in the cans...

We don't always hit Costco. K-Mart is so much closer, and they sometimes have the sixpacks on sale for around $2.00. When we're done, it ends up costing about $25 per case http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...thumbsdown.gif. We may MAIL our clothes home and use the airlines to send the Hawaiian Sun. It's probably cheaper.

We're down to 2 six packs and a trip planned for Nov.... (we miss the PIP II by 1 week).

Thanks again.

Mary: I'm also a fan of Hawaiian Sun. It's actually available at some stores on the mainland. This may not help you to much, but there's a store in San Jose, CA called Sun Jose, Hawaii that has it. You might email Hawaiian Sun and see if there's a store near you that stocks it. They have been expanding sales to the mainland.

Boy, this reminds me when years ago, we used to hand carry cases of Coors beer before it was available in Hawaii. $25 for a case of Haw'n Sun is a princely sum considering you can get it on sale for around $6.50 a case.

Maybe I should bring up a case the next time I go to the East Coast and sell it. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Thanks for the name of the store. I'll check them out. We also haven't asked Hawaiian Sun regarding mainland distribution. At last check they didn't have any outlets on the East Coast.

Great! I'll give them a call. I've gone to local Asian Markets, but all they seem to carry are Itoen coffee products.

But, you never know!

Thanks so much.

Mary
