Is UA declaring war on HA?

UA announced expanded service to Hawaii from SFO, LAX, ORD and DEN. Eleven new flights per day. United said it would have “the most flights between the mainland and the Hawaiian Islands than any other carrier.”

Is UA declaring war on HA? How will this affect HA? How can they respond?

Personally, I seriously doubt that it has an impact on HA.

My experience is many Hawaiian routes are heaven for non-rev. So I doubt UA may keep that long.

I thought it was more of a shot at Alaska and to add the seats before Hawaiian gets the Neos
