Mokulele Hoping for flights to London via Rockford, IL
 

Mokulele is apparently trying to get FAA approval for scheduled charter service from HNL to London Stanstead via Rockford, Illinois. Several google searches have produced no details, such as scheduling, type of aircraft, etc., just the proposed routing:

I wonder if they will get ETOPS certification on some of their Caravans.:D Seriously, though, the Hawaii to Europe market is something that may have the potential to be exploited. We've heard rumors of HA thinking about it, but Mokulele?

Hmm so will Mokulele be using chartered aircraft similar to the Apple Vacations quoted in the article? 767-400 should do the trick... but would be nice to have a bit bigger bird. As for the frequencies, seems fairly irregular, but perhaps a couple extra rotations for the Olympics. Interesting thought though :cool:
