mrs. yahrite808 is now medically unfit to fly due to pregnancy. we have a trip scheduled in jan 2010, paid one way cash and one way miles. anything i can do to get a refund? probably not but just wanted to know if anyone ran into this situation ...
My mother got really sick once when having a HA itinerary upcoming. She called and they said as long as she could provide a doctor's note, they'd refund the money or waive the change fee (can't remember which one). So it might be worth a call.

Probably want to call the Pualani number (or the corporate number if you're a corporate customer)... though I might qualify that her sick waiver was about two years ago, prior to AQ's demise, so who knows how much has changed.
