So I join up and find out that there are no pictures at all in a group for photos ???

It looks like it is FT's fault.....these are highly restrictive conditions to place on a photo:
Maximum File Size per Picture 97.7 KB
Maximum Picture Dimensions 600 by 600 Pixels

I only have one or two that are that small....I upload them and the picture still doesn't show up but its caption does.

THIS SUCKS!!! Come on FT, get this fixed!!

Ah, the failed "social groups." As far as a Canon DSLR, depending on what you are looking for, there are almost always some good price points. For example, you could score a good deal on a 30D or 40D right now and get a darn fine camera, and the 50D isn't even that pricey IMHO. (I haven't seen if the 50D is in any current Canon rebates; they usually run one set in the spring and another in the fall, either "instant" or mail-in depending on the mood of their execs.)

If you want full-frame, I suspect you can find a decent deal on a 5D given the 5D Mark II has been out a little while, but I don't follow the full-frames as closely given (1) I don't have that kind of $$ to spend; and (2) I prefer a crop-factor camera for the typical subject material I shoot (birds).

Hi - not much happening here; I'll go back to the forum.
Just wanted to show you a few nice snaps at sunset, where I am in Dublin.
The golden light was a revelation for this city and time of year.

Do you think I should try to buy a Canon DSLR this month? Is this a good time, in terms of price points and good new models?
Otherwise I can soldier on with my S3 IS (I miss my previous Canon DSLR!).

P&S for me. Sure, the image quality is sub-par, but everything else about it is great!
