If Going Please Use Common Sense Outside......
the hotel.
Walking around the city's streets with your ... hanging out or in some outrageous costume, or with your handcuffed and chained BF really isn't cool.
Inside the Hilton...well about anything goes.

I will be in Chicago during this period but not at IML. I have attended a huge leather weekend (MLT in Toronto) and I know that IML is the largest gathering of this type in the world. I was tempted. There are folks from all over the world at this event...it should be interesting.
I am on the fringes (bad pun) of the leather community. I understand the attraction but I am not really committed to the cause.
That being said...if FT's are planning a mini get-together in Chicago....I would be glad to attend.

That said, I think any potential FlyerTalk "IML DO" probably ought to be held OUTSIDE the Hilton....

There are more people like you (on the fringes) than you might expect who at least pop into the hotel during the evenings, as the hotel lobby turns into a giant gay bar for the weekend. If you don't feel like decking out in full leather, you WON'T be out of place. A T-shirt, jeans and a pair of boots, along with an open mind, will do just fine.
