Jackie O' in Mykonos. Not only is the music and crowd great, but the location is amazing. It's near the water.

Interestingly, in a summer day, most people hang out OUTSIDE the bar and there is practically anyone inside (unless getting drinks)

But yeah, the waves crushing just behind you while having a great time with great people is out of this world!

What? - "there is practically anyone inside?" - I assume you meant that there ISN'T practically anyone inside!

How about, "There is practically no one?"

That's what I meant!
Almost no-one hangs out INSIDE, at least in the summer (Mykonos Jackie O')

I was just there a month ago. The drag show opened with the "Dynasty" theme.

I stumbled upon a great bar in Tokyo called "Bar Bridge", although some folks call it "Bridge Bar". It's located in the gay district of Shinjuku Ni-Chome, but kind of off the grid, nestled on a residential street and on the top floor of what appears to be an actual apartment building.

The bar is small (typical for Tokyo), but it's slick and polished inside. Beautiful bar counter and not much else. It also has a smoking terrace. The owner is a huge Broadway musicals fan - he travels to NYC twice a year to see shows. He'll often play showtunes or the Glee soundtrack. He also serves everyone a small container of candy.

It's a cozy, inviting bar with really good wine. It's quiet, the music is kept at a minimum, and almost all locals. I went there twice during my recent Tokyo trip, once with a straight friend and he really liked it, too.

Recommendations for Seattle?

The only reference I read for Seattle was somewhat old. I'm heading to Seattle for a week with friends around Memorial Day, any recommendations?

Thanks!

So rumor has it, Rawhide in NYC on 8th Avenue will be closing at the end of this month. Some will miss it, some won't - I miss The Lure and Spike, and even The Break which is now some Thai restaurant. Maybe I need to move on, too, lol. Chelsea's suburbanization is almost complete.

Speaking of NYC -- I'll be there in the summer. What's a good bar / club to go to?
