Sounds good to me and ties in with my experiences of this great city!

Berlin!
Great nightlife, probably not so much on the wine bars.
Very historically interesting (IMHO)
And quite inexpensive.

Shouldn't be *too* cold in mid-November

But I love Barcelona as well.
Never got what the fuss was about Madrid, thought it was okay

Actually, I never got what the fuss was about Barcelona.
It is pretty. But it seems spreadout, too touristy (a la Times Square) and the local gay boys seem stuck up, cliquish, cookie cutter.
I found Sitges just a few mins from Barcelona to be more fun and down to earth.

But, it is just a matter of perception.

For night life I like Amsterdam and Paris the best in Europe. There is a lot more to do during the day time in Paris though than Amsterdam.

I thought AMS was boring the first two nights there but met a local the third day that told me of some great local bars I went to that night and the next night and I had a great time and he also told me of a great mainly gay restaurant. I think Park has a better gay night life though, I really like going to open at happy hour to people watch if the weather is nice and the shower shows at Raidd in Paris are fun
