I'm blaming Flyertalk for having 60,000 people watch me shower

Last March, I made a short little video showing the Emirates A380 First Class shower suite. I thought it would be fun for my friends and other Flyertalk geeks like me to see what it was like.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9E-0HB_EiI

The first couple of months it got the expected couple hundred hits. My friends made silly comments and I thought it was over.

Cut to today, the video has just passed 60,000 hits and I receive at least one comment a day. I'm beginning to think there are people who search for the word "showering" on youtube and don't care about travel at all.

I feel exploited. I feel used. But the media whore inside of me is smiling.

UPDATE, December 6, 2012:
The video just passed 200,000 hits!! I wish I had monetized the video when YouTube offered! Another video is on its way this March!!!

Hahahaha, how was the water pressure?

Bathroom is a lot more spacious than I imagined. Flowers are a nice touch. Are the showers split along the gender binary or on a first come, first serve basis?

Water pressure was fine.

The two showers are used on a first-come-first-served basis. I told the flight attendant that my son and I wanted to shower after the meal. We went at the same time but in different showers.

I'm surprised how big it is (the shower).

I had read somewhere that those A380 had showers so I searched on Google : "A380 Showers" or something like that and got to your video.

I didn't know you were from Flyertalk, but that explains it all :P

As the poster of the video, I have the ability to remove "inappropriate" comments. I've had to remove MANY. I hadn't caught that one recently.

Showering is probably about the only thing I have not done on a plane so even though I've seen pictures of the 'shower lounge', the video sure makes it really more intimate. I guess I have to add that I never blew dried my hair on a plane either! No video of that?

I've experienced it myself and I can say that it's a great amenity after a 14 hour flight. Much better to step off the plane refreshed and into your car after customs, than having to deal with an airport lounge. I've got another trip from JFK-DXB and then onward to PVG and return starting this Sunday, so I'm very much looking forward to it. (Not to mention the Emirates F Suite service is fantastic)

WOW. Perhaps AA will start offering in 2071, if they're still in business.
