assistance transport

how do i arrange assistance from arrival gate to departure gate at FRA? i am old enough and tired enough to need one of those electric carts.

I doubt they offer electric carts, perhaps a wheelchair. Perhaps this is something for you:

According to this web page you are supposed to request assistance at least 48 hours before departure by contacting your airline or travel agent.

Indeed, it needs to be arranged through the airline - and that's everywhere, not just at FRA.

As far as I'm aware that 48 hours is not an absolute deadline - but airlines can't guarantee that they will be able to make the necessary arrangements if you book less than 48 hours before the flight.

seems to me that the gate for UA to gate A1(when we flew to Lyon) was about 2 miles(felt like 10) do they use a wheelchair for that distance?

i have arranged a number of wheelchairs for my mother, all at USA airports. the wheelchair is not precooked.

i have been taken off the plane twice in wheelchair. on both occasions, while in route, we asked a FA to have a chair available for me at the arrival gate.
