Munich just after New Years- any holiday stuff?

We are doing a long weekend in Munich Jan 2-6. Any Christmas markets, festive displays or anything like that still around during this time?

Other than that, just hanging at Augustiner for a few days...

Festival displays are usually gone at that time too.

The markets and the displays are for christmas, and christmas already was. So why should they still be around?

Not saying they should be around- just wondering if there is anything festive or cheery going on!

We have been to Munich quite a few times, but this is our first cold weather visit. Lookin forward to it!

Enjoy it! ^

Munich is quite enjoyable - even without the pre-christmas time. And it is less crowded than in the weeks before ... if I neglect all the holiday shoppers cashing in the gift vouchers, all the people changing their gifts into something better/not broken/really wanted/(place your reason HERE ).
