In/Out FRA in 5 Hours
I know this is not M&M or LH related, but I'm hoping that frequent flyers through FRA can help with my situation:
I am booked for a saturday into FRA on OK from BEY through PRG. Arriving at 8:35AM, then taking off on KL to HUY via AMS at 6PM. The original idea was to spend the day in the city centre for shopping.
Now, I am having second thoughts about the whole OK thing, because it leaves BEY at 3AM, it involves a terminal change at PRG, and will mean that by the time I reach HUY in the UK, I would have been awake for almost 24 hours. A downer because the next morning I have a workshop at 10AM.
I am thinking of taking the non stop ME217 which arrives at 12:45PM that allows me to get a good night sleep as it departs at 9:30AM.
But will this give me enough time to:
- Either check in my carry on onto KL in T2, or store it in Terminal 1, then
- Catch a train to Zeil (non stop to Konstablerwache station)
- Spend about an hour and a bit getting few bits from Peek & Cloppenburg.
- Return to FRA in time for the 6PM departure?
This would be my second trip to FRA, I am familiar with getting around there but obviously not experienced enough.
Thanks

Hi edy4eva,
I will also be in FRA tomorrow. I'll PM you. I'm also just there for the day and would happily join you in a return trip from FRA to the city for walking, shopping and hopefully meeting FTers.
I'm also there Monday, if anyone's around.
Thanks!

* Some trains don't go all the way to Konstablerwache, but stop at Hauptbahnhof. You can of course switch to another train there, but you'll have to change to a lower level.
* Check the time table for the return trains. I would say that you can stay in the city centre until 4.30pm or so, but if you then miss a train by a few minutes you'll lose another 15 or 20 minutes.

Mate, I missed ya. I didn't see your pm till today. I couldn't access FT from the Cedar Lounge in BEY.
I got to the shop at 2pm, finished shopping just before 4pm. Not that it matters now but I was the dude a green Brazilian shirt and a black back pack.
To answer my own question, very doable, the only hiccup being the train ticket machine not accepting my card. Otherwise from plane door in T1-B to Zeil in under 1 hour.

No worries edy4eva and what I should have done was put a FT tag on mein popo!
Anyway, it was productive for me too, I went back to Eckert Herrenmoden and bought these.
Hope you found what you were seeking at Peek-Cloppenberg.
My advice: ticketing for the S8 is horrible if you are unprepared. It's EUR$3.90 one way so have $4 in coins or a $10 note and buy from the machine.
I tried to buy a ticket to the specific station Edy4eva noted but it's unneccessary. Just get the Frankfurt ticket. The Zeil is two stops past Frankfurt Main and saves you walking the seedy section to get there. Station is beneath the Zeil!
Six stops, ~17min and you're there.
Those little gardens with huts were cool. Looked like a trailer park amid pumpkin patches! Fun for the green thumbed locals.
