Mirage Advise

Going to be at the Mirage this weekend. I am a Vegas Veteran but never have stayed at and rarely played at The Mirage. I got a good price on a tower suite and I feel like just staying put and relaxing.. Any advice on what games/food at the Mirage are good?

Hey, I'm going to be there this weekend too!

Mirage often has good blackjack rules, usually with $25 mins (dealer stands on soft 17, which has become something of a rare thing on the strip.) Sometimes Ti runs the same game at a lower minimum, but you can't count on it.

I second what marcvh said; for low-limit blackjack, the Mirage is really nice. I stayed in a tower suite there a couple months ago, and even the $15 minimum tables had lenient (for the strip) rules during the day.

Just avoid the tables near the theater in the hour following each showing of "Love". Total crowd (and they change the table rules accordingly).

Enjoy the room. From our pool-view suite, we could see dolphins playing in the habitat far below, and could see that Bare was so full with people that we didn't want to make the walk down there.

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to eat in any of the nicer restaurants, although I'm sure another FT'er can help you out there.

I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at any of the restaurants at the Mirage. Even the coffee shop, which used to be excellent, is now very ordinary. BLT Burger is OK.

Walk across the street to the Venetian.
