baccarat_king mentioned it says 3 full weeks now...it will be very close call.. if your'e staying 4-5nights that gives you an extra week though. you just need Diamond applied to your account before your last night at the hotel to avoid the fees.
I got screwed 18 months ago in Vegas and had to pay 6 nights of resort fees because my Diamond didn't show up in time for my Vegas trip.Back then it was 8 full weeks.

TR gives "new" (or long inactive) players some juicy comps to try to get you in the door and play more. It sounds like you're maximizing them with the New Years and CES dates! Just as a heads-up after those trips your comps could likely decrease with the same level of play.

For example, when I first started playing at TR, I earned about 1000 tier credits per day, and that gave me offers of 5 free nights at Caesars and $300 in free play. I was never able to take advantage of these, but fast forward a few months/years, and with the same level of play I get offers of 2 free weeknights at Caesars or 3 free nights at lower tier properties and maybe $20 in freeplay, which aren't even worth the effort.

When I redeemed the benefit the email they sent me stated I "should" have diamond by April 28th. I guess it all depends on the queue. If there's a good public promo code out or maybe if there are recent articles written on travel blogs about the FC membership I'm sure there are a ton of people signing up and redeeming this benefit all at once. Since there hasn't been one in a while I guess the queue isn't very long right now.

Recent TR Diamond Status Upgrade

2 weeks ago, my significant other Founders Card holder applied for the Diamond Status. Today, they received the status. This works out great as we have a trip to Vegas next week.

I was wondering if you have diamond status and you go to diamond lounge how do you prove status without the physical card?

They swipe at the lounge. It's the "swipe" and what the computer says (Diamond or 7 Star) that allows you access to the lounge. You could just as easily swipe an "old" Gold card that you had prior to gaining Diamond Status. (Also, you have to show an ID that matches the name on the Total Rewards account.)

Yes, and to make it even easier print out your Total Rewards Number from the website. They will also scan your photo ID into the system (most likely a US Drivers License). You can ask for 2-3 cards, just so you have them.

You might also "really ponder" your first play at a Total Rewards Casino.

We posted an article about that yesterday. (Note : I am affiliated with this link.)

Renew or not?

I tried to cancel my membership as my first year membership is almost approaching. I got a repliy by Alice:
A few things I want to make you aware of before I cancel your account:
You are eligible for an Anniversary Gift upon this renewal: 1) $100 Amazon e-giftcard, or 2) Complimentary Significant Other Membership ($495 value, will remain active as long as you are).
You have a Charter Member rate of $395 annually, new Members are joining at $595 annually. You would lose access to this rate upon cancelation and would not be able to get it back if you rejoined.
All Elite Status upgrades (Total Rewards, Hilton HHonors, Hertz, Avis, Virgin America, Cathay Pacific, etc.) or ongoing account savings obtained through FoundersCard will be downgraded or removed by the end of the month.
Included in your Membership is over $8k in Account Credits and Complimentary subscriptions. I have attached a screenshot outlining these benefits for your review. These are the easiest ways Members tell me they offset the cost of Membership!

I have to say the Complimentary memberhsip for my wife would is very tempting. Does that mean she can become Diamond Total Rewards as well, and get all the same perks I got this past year, including Anniversary gift, tickets to shows, etc? have anyone renew before accepting this gift membership?

Thanks,

Milagros

I inquiry about the type of complementary membership and this is the response. It sounds too good to be true. Then, they offered to continue paying $395 for 2 membership going forward?
Have anyone taken this offer before? Any comments?

Thank you for your prompt reply. The complimentary Significant Other would have full access to all of our benefits and their own portal for redeeming benefits. Then going forward you are paying $395 annually for two Memberships which is an incredible value since new Members are joining for $595 for one Membership. Please let me know if you would like to connect and further discuss benefits that I think you may both enjoy. If you would like to add your Significant Other simply email me the below information and I can get her application submitted.

I added my spouse to my account using a similar offer, and it's pretty much the same full membership that I have. In the previous year she applied for Diamond status and was able to receive that benefit as well. I have to see if she signed up for Diamond status this year.

I have been on the fence about renewing my FC. Based on the above I just sent an email to FC asking if they would give me the complimentary spouse addition as an incentive to renew my account. I'll let you know what they say.
