Grazie - Newbie questions

Hi there!

I travel to LV once a year. Always stay at Palazzo. It is usually 5 nights.
I book the nights through Intercontinental website to assure my Royal Ambassador Status is seen and I get those perks.

Now, I am enrolled in Grazie, but it doesn't seem I made any progress over the past two years.

What would I have to play approx. to reach Gold level?

My hotel room is usually between 1200 and 2000 USD for the whole stay. Don't know whether this room charge gets accredited to my Grazie account, as I book through Intercontinental hotels.

$2000 for a stay should net 10k Grazie points, which would get you halfway to Gold. If you aren't already doing it, make sure you also bill any meals in the hotel to your suite.

I don't have any experience booking via an ICH account, so I don't know if they let you double dip.

The primary thing that gold status gets you is that it makes it easier to get to gold status with room charges the next year. Oh, and a free airport shuttle. Other than that, pretty useless IME.

Gold status also allows entry for you and a guest to the Gold
Club Room located behind the high limit slots in the Venetian. It is a private room with snacks, fruit, self serve drinks and bar drinks ordered from the attentative staff. Also discounts on show tkts. Once you obtain Gold you have it for the rest of that year and all of the next.

Does anyone know if you can double dip for grazie and ihg points? Looked at palazzo website reservation form and it seems I have to select one or another.

We haven't heard of anyone being able to double dip on points but it would be nice if you could. Most casino players club points and hotel loyalty points are separate. IHG only provides points on hotel cost and nothing else when you book through them and Grazie only offer points when you book and/or spend with them (gaming, meals, etc.)

With the recent MGM/Hyatt partnership you can get use your Hyatt Gold Passport to upgrade your MLife account.
