I'd love to go to a full service resort that is relatively close to home.
BUT, I looked at the prices for this property and services and determined it's cheaper to fly/stay at just about any other resort than to take the hour drive to AC. Rooms near $500 a night? Seriously?
But if you fit, say, 10 people into a room, $50/night isn't that expensive.
[I stay at Borgata (comped rooms), but I've noticed, when a group of people are heading home, many of them have sleeping bags--so I assume several are staying in the same room--probably 5.]

That's incredible!
I seem to recall you enjoy going to Hawaii. Please don't tell me it's cheaper for you to go there!

+1 I'd rather go elsewhere and earn miles/points than pay ~$500 for two nights due to the two-night minimum.
Programs: Hyatt Diamond, Fairmont Lifetime Plat, UA Silver, dirt elsewhere

Sometimes it is. Next trip, which will be for 2 weeks will be nearly free (and that includes flying F) - all we have to pay for is food & amusements. Miles/points covered everything else.
Generally speaking, if you know how to do Hawaii, it can be less expensive than many other resort locations.

Did they buckle or is it too soon to know?
For me, I am not much of a gambler. Few dollars here and there between black jack and roulette.
I have gone to AC for the following:
1. The boardwalk
2. Red Door Salon - yes, me and my honey
3. Golfing
Programs: Frontier Airlines Early Returns, Southwest Rapid Rewards, Jetblue TrueBlue

Things are changing, I stayed there on a comp Wednesday night and based on the offers screen on the kiosk I have more free nights coming. Nice place but food is expensive and they still have issues (multiple malfunctioning check-in/check out kiosks and lack of good signage as to where the rooms are to name a few). Also they want $179 for a midweek night in october. Hopefully things work out.
I was in AC this past weekend and spent some time at Revel. Really nice place and still no smoking indoors at all. One of the only Casinos I could find that had 10 min bj so that was a positive. Food was really good and the deli where they make everything in front of you but very pricey. Poker room was was off and at first a trouble to find. I would go back for sure but then again I did not book a room just hung out all weekend. It's way better than every other casino on the boardwalk.
On Saturday, 9/1/12, I went to the Revel to sign up for a casino card (and from my Seven Star status in Harrah's I got Level 4.)
(1)From the outside you can see that the casino is still under construction.
(2)The interior is very nice--but it was not too busy (with slot players).
(3)Level 3 and Level 4 can redeem $10 of casino points for $30 in food credit, and based on the previous post might be a big plus with this perk.
(4)To sign up for a casino card I was directed to a Level 4 desk, but they had to hunt around for literature describing the program (and benefits)--I would assume that this stuff should not be hidden away. The card has 4 numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and your level is bolded--if I'm going to get status, it should be more than bolded type (Borgata has a black card, Harrah's a distinctive looking one for 7*).
On my next trip to AC I'll spend more time "slotting" to get a better feel of things.

Can you see your offers on their website. I tried but don't see where.
Harrah's, Borgata and MGM all have websites which allow you to access your account.
