Since there has been some discussion lately about finding current travel sweepstakes, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread called "Sweepstakes Resources" where those who are so inclined can post links to sources that may be potentially useful in our constant search for that BIG WIN (let's hear that chorus of YAYS! and RIGHT ONS! folks.)
I will start off with links to five newsletters individuals can subscribe to that provide news about sweepstakes and contests. Bear in mind these newsletters cover ALL categories of sweepstakes - not just travel. And they are primarily aimed at US and Canadian residents. I do not subscribe to any of these newsletters, so I make no representation about how good (or bad) they may be, nor do I know how much it costs to subscribe to any one of them. This is just information - NOT endorsement.
While I have been mostly inactive for several years in doing sweepstakes, I still continue to receive issues of this outstanding sweepstakes publication in the mail. I have been a member for so many years I don’t even want to think how many years it has been.J
The publication is put out by a husband and wife team Nita and Mark out of NH. Interestingly enough in the FT spirit, it should be noted that Mark is a flight controller for the FAA. They cover all types of contests, small and large and those that are geographically restricted.
Thanks to this publication in years past I have won many different types of sweepstakes prizes. In fact one time I posted some wins on FT and some of more challenged members of FT had a problem believing the listing.
In the interest of full disclosure it should be noted that I have met these folks and their children through the years at various locations enjoying local sweepstakes wins. Suffice to say I am a satisfied long time subscriber and will continue to subscribe for their great sweepstakes information.
Obviously this is not an exhaustive list of online sweepstakes resources - but just a few to get you started.
The biggie of course is OLS, or online-sweepstakes.com, which has been discussed here before. While it does have some free listings, the good sweeps are accessed by subscription only: http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/
I don't know much about the following, so you're on your own:
flyingmama, thanks for starting this thread. It's a useful resource for FTers interested in entering sweeps. I'm going to ask the moderators to make it a sticky so you don't have to keep bumping it.
wondering why do all the sweepstakes are so common in the u.s. and practically not happening in europe? except for if you sign up for some ridiculous thing promissing you god knows what but all you get is email spam without any material compensation for it!

they have very different contests added in the mix. I agree with the person who said it's tough to find real contests in Europe with out getting garbage!! They are out there though
