Toulouse
I am planning a trip to Toulouse during April. the main objective is to visit the Airbus factory.
I will be arriving at 5pm and do the tour the following morning. I have planned a 6pm flight leaving the same day after the tour.
just wondering is it worthwhile staying 1 more day to explore other parts of Toulouse? If so what are your recommendations
Also what hotels and restaurants would you recommend?
I am thinking staying somewhere near the airport (so near the airbus factory?)
Are there any public transports available in the city?

you definitely want to stay longer.
Toulouse has alot to offer for architecture and ... do NOT miss the: Aerospace Museum http://www.cite-espace.com/index.php
public transportation is good, I'd recommend to stay within the city. We had a DO in TLS a few years ago and I invite you to take a look at the restaurants and activities we had on that weekend. don't hesitate to post here if you need any special assistance

thanks so much for the info.
unfortunately I don't think I can extend more time as there might be issues with the flights (it is an award tix).
So if I do stay in the city I want to know how do I get:
1) From the airport to the city
2) The city to the Airbus Factor
3) The city to the space musuem
4) The city to that nice Chateau restaurant
I was thinking on the first night I arrived I might try that Chateau restaurant then the next day I do the Airbus tour in the morning (unfortunately they only have it in French).
I will then do the Space Museum OR just the Pink City tours.
Then it is time to head to the airport (6pm flight)
I might try and change the flight so that I arrive earlier on the first day?
Also what time do things shut down in TLS.
Thanks

I think I will goto the restaurant you guys went on the first night.
Oh I thought the main focus on Tolouse is the Pink City as this is the colour of all the buildings? I didn't realise it is the handle name of a member here!
Then I will just focus in the town centre and maybe do the science centre if I have time. I am sure I will be back if I really like it!
