[Rhone, Provence and Cote d'Azur] How to split between Regions and Cities
We (3 adults) have 10 days to visit the east-southern part of France.
We can either fly directly to Lyon, Marseille or Nice and going to rent a car for the entire trip.
I thought of
Lyon (in) - Orange - Avignon - Marseille - Aix - Cassis - St Tropez - Cannes - St Paul de Vence - Cagnes sur Mer - Nice (out) - Monte Carlo
with just short stops at Lyon, Orange, Marseille (as two of us already have been there), Cannes and St Tropez...and accommodation mainly in Avignon, Aix and Nice...
Should we skip Lyon and drive to Avignon from Marseille?
Or maybe even fly to Nice only and skipp the Rhone/Provence part?
I mainly concerned we will miss out Avignon and Aix...but maybe I have false high expectations....
Any suggestions appreciated!
