Mobile Wifi In Paris
Hi all, just a quick questions, is there a mifi (mobile wifi) in Paris? which provider? This is our first time traveling to Europe. Usually in Asian cities, we could pre-order the mifi, and the provider will deliver it either to the airport for pick-up or the hotel. Could you kindly assist? Thanks

Of course there is and just like a mobi-card you can recharge them. I saw them at Orange, but then they are my cell providers. I think any cell company has them. And no they won't deliver it, since they need some info from you. If you are going to Paris, on the Champs (were all the tourists go) you'll find Orange/SFR, though on Sundays they will be closed, at least Orange is.
I still haven't found a small one in the US without a plan. Aggghhhh

Orange are great, maybe not the cheapest, but when I was there recently they set me up really quickly and without fuss. They have shops everywhere, the one near us in the Marais was always empty when I'd go in to recharge so it only ever took a couple of minutes. nice staff.

Since I have someone staying for a month I bought one of those pay as you go portable wi-fi. Total cost for a 3 giga 85 Euros.
Actually I think the price went down. A friend bought one today for around 52 US dollars. And what is nice about it, is that you could use it anywhere. So for example you are going to Italy next, you can just buy a SIM card and inset it, and voila it work.

Has anybody tried Travel-wifi.com? They seem to be a pretty new company, but unlimited 4G for about 10 euros a day including delivery charge to my hotel seems like a pretty fair deal for a short stay.
I'd love to find somebody who has actually used them as it seems that they've been spamming forums around the web for a little while.

I'm going to Paris in 1 week and from what I've read on forums it's pretty hard to get wi-fi, unless you go to Starbucks or stay at your hotel...
@themicah: have you tried those travel-wifi guys in the end?
I wanna decide by Monday if I use their service or not...

In the U.S. I often frequent libraries for wifi when out and about if i need more than LTE/4G. Didn't try in Paris though.
