But I guess since you are staying at a hotel the concierge would look after a taxi for you..
It was a little of a surprise for me; I was staying at an apt and made a reservation for 530 am; I used G7 which is on online service; they are very good and reliable. The taxi arrived at 520 and already had 8 euros (which is not bad since it starts at 2,30 or something) and if I would have waited to walk down at 530 I am sure that would have been 12 euros.
In the big picture, after spending 5 or 6,000 US$ for a trip, another 12 euros to have a nice clean taxi waiting for you and help you with the luggage is definitely worth it.

The people that I rent my apartment through organise a car for me, 85 euros to pick up at the airport to the apartment, and 65 from the apartment to the airport (cheaper that way as the driver doesn't have to park, wait around etc). Dearer than a taxi, but after a long long flight (I come from Australia), but it's great just to walk out, and jump into the car rather than wait around for a cab. My driver also calls the apartment manager when we're approaching so he's also there ready to meet us (not an issue with a hotel).

3 of us will be in Paris from Friday November 10 - early Sunday morning the 12th.
We are arriving and leaving from Orly Sud and I am planning to buy us each carte Mobilis passes for Friday and Saturday. Sunday we are only going back to the airport. We are not going to see enough attractions on the Visite card to warrant spending the $$$.
After reading this thread I am now upset about finding a ticket booth that will take a US credit card.
Will I find a manned ticket booth at Orly? If yes, can I buy both my Orlyval ticket and my Mobilis card there or do I have to wait until I get to the Antony station? Are there manned ticket booths at Antony?
Alternatively, can I buy the cards online before I leave?
I know the Mobilis is not good for the Orlyval but I'll need it in areas 1 - 4 for our arriving day and the next day.

Since a 1-4 Mobilis is 10.55 EU each, in the worst case scenario, use cash to purchase 3 of these. Note: I've encountered machines* that only accept coins and NOT bills (notes), the machines accept 10 EU coins.
If ORLY is anything like CDG, the line to purchase tickets from an agent (at times) can be huge.
A Carte Mobilis is good for one calendar day (with a slight spillover into 1 am or 2:30 am (fri, sat), it is not a 24 hour pass, so you will need two of these per person; but the 2nd days card can be purchased on the second day when you arrive in Paris, and (hopefully) find an agent that will accept cc's. [It becomes valid the first time you use it at a turnstile.]
*The machines do give instructions in English (if you select the proper settings.)

If you use the English version of www.ratp.fr, there is NO mention of a Carte Mobilis (only the Carte Visite--intended for tourists and more expensive.)
Several years ago, I tried to purchase a CM from an agent, but she refused to sell it to me. Now that you can purchase these from machines, anyone can buy one (which I have done often). I don't know if there is still "discrimination" from agents in buying CM's.
