Can you tell me where did you find this information because when I look into the AF website I can see

**Cabine Economique ŕ Cabine Affaires
Cabine Economique ŕ Cabine Premium Economique ou Alizé
Cabine Alizé ŕ Cabine Affaires
Cabine Affaires ŕ Cabine La Premičre

So that mean for me that no upgrade between premium voyageur to Business class is allowed.

That's not my point.

What I am saying is that if FB quotes FOUR different amounts of miles for upgrades for routes (e.g. EU to USA) where there is NO ALIZE CABIN, it means that one of the 4 numbers is the one for Premium Voyageur to Affaires upgrades.

I did my due diligence about partner mileage earning and will
expect equal due diligence from FB as to how the info I was
given was not accurate.

With respect to AF and Kl mileage earning changes, as much as I don't like them, I was made aware of it with reasonable notice AND via an email newsletter communication.

These partner earning changes were both announced with no notice and with no official communication to boot.

Further, the KL website as of Ap 3 still shows the EXACT partner earning rates that I was advised about in February for NW, DL, KE and AM. I have taken screen shots as reference points for any flights I've flown or booked by Ap 3.

Absolutely. When looking at what is now posted on the airfrance.fr website, what you were told on multiple occasion, what alanw was told, what I was told, what others were told came back to mind to make the posted 'new' earnings beyond belief. Many of us have indeed booked numerous partner flights upon this information that was confirmed on multiple occasions despite our initial doubts. If the new earnings are confirmed, I would still be happy to launch a joint complaint with whoever else feels cheated here on the basis of misguiding information.

I did my first April flight a couple of days ago, which was 520 miles. And now the miles have posted.

02/04/2009 AF PAR VCE C 200% 1500
02/04/2009 SPECIAL ELITE BONUS MILES 100% 750

Isn't that the same as before?

Next, I have a KL Z flight. We'll see if that is the same too.

Wow Stimpy. Some happy people are still paying €1400 (cost of return CDG-VCE, one-way is 800) for 520 miles to a romantic leisure destination. I envy you.

may I reiterate my suggestion to open a dedicated thread for reports like this...? I think with all the mess in FB communication, a comprehensive thread to collect all the information would be very useful...

I think Flying Blue customers should just get organized and formally request to repeal at least the new rules for earning miles. A similar effort from Delta frequent flyers succeeded in 2004, when actually Delta conceived the new accrual system that now AF/KL enacted.

I didn't pay that much and this was a business trip. It was an open jaw and the second leg was to AMS on a Z fare. And the economy pricing was almost the same.

My Z fare VCE-AMS earned...

04/04/2009 KL VCE AMS Z 200 % 1500
04/04/2009 SPECIAL ELITE BONUS MILES 100% 750

Again, this is the same as before. No difference. I thought that we were going to earn less miles after April 1st?

Not on Z fares for intra-European flights. This is one area where there is no change.

Hi all,

I think there is still a lot of room for clarification from FB. As per my post in the partners earning thread:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/11534518-post97.html

I spoke to Flying Blue today, and they have earning rates in their system that are nowhere close to what's posted online. For example, in the case of KL long haul earnings:

Published on airfrance.ch:
Quote:
  • M - 75%
  • L, H, Q, K - 75%
Per the agent I spoke to, who double checked with a supervisor before confirming:
Quote:
  • M, L, H, Q, K - 100%
My pessimistic expectation for the above was that the second 75% was a typo and should read 50%, but not according to the agent.

She did indicate that their system got updated on April 1 as well, and on 2 occasions, she checked with her supervisor.

I've now contacted the Complaints Department to see if I can get any clarification in writing. I'm not taking verbal answers for valid any more.

Cheers,

GenevaFlyer

Nor on intra-Europe C fares, per my other post above.
