CVG-LAS: AF (Operated by Delta): 25%
LAX-DTW: NW: 100%
DTW-JFK: NW: 100%
JFK-AMS: NW: 100%
AMS-LHR: NW (Operated by KL): 100%
Thanks in advance!
we don't know yet what NW-coded fligths will earn post 4/1/09
Well, if you go through this thread you will realise that this is one of the main points of frustration with the (lack of) communication from FB regarding the changes.

- Option 2: a DL-issued ticket for DL-coded flights, including 1 BOS-FCO operated by AP for AZ ....
A quick update after a phone call, yes, a phone call from Flying Blue today (Saturday)! I had put in my question on option 2 through "contact us".
The nice agent told me that the changes only affect AF and KL, and not partner earnings. As such, my DL ticket will still earn me 100% of miles. She even confirmed that I would earn 100% of miles on my DL-codeshare Air One flight from BOS.
It really sounds to me like foot shooting by AF/KL if this comes true. We can earn miles on partners (and thus the partners make money) and can then redeem on AF/KL. Sounds like a continued liability with decreased revenues.

No, I don't since I don't have anything in writing. That's why I ended with "time will tell".
I do think that the customer service agents do not necessarily know the exact implementation of the rules, and go by what they are told. So I'm not going to call the frontline agents names. It's the management of Flying Blue that I distrust.

You're absolutely right - I didn't mean the people who answer the phone indeed but the management. The problem is that too many people including yourself have reported hearing the same answer in this and other threads (several of them in writing, and none of them received the true answer instead) for it to be just sheer incompetence, so my suspicion is that the FB hierarchy fed their agents that wrong information that was then forwarded in good faith. So it was indeed the management I was pestering against.

Having now had my coffee and read the new earnings chart, I am just utterly disgusted. Flying Blue management has fed lies to their frontline agents, who have provided us with information in good faith. It's a good thing that I was waiting to book my ticket to the US for the first earnings reports from FT'ers to come in ... I will now work hard to find a *Alliance itinerary that will fit within the parameters of my travel policy.
New rules have been posted for upgrades with miles. It now costs a small fortune to upgrade from J to P, e.g.:
Europe to USA, one way upgrade:
Voyageur to Affaires: 32 500
Voyageur to Premium Voyageur: 16 500
Premium Voyageur to Affaires: 16 500
Affaires to La Première: 75 000
The possibility to upgrade from Voyageur to Affaires (sort of double upgrade) is a nice touch though. I expect a lot of confusion among the FB staff...
The J to P upgrade EU to Asia (HKG, NRT, SIN...) is now priced at 120,000 one way.

Yes, the cost structure to book an award in the P cabin is now clear. Not cheap .

OH MY GOODNESS!! The funniest thing in all this was the FB assertion that they wanted to "simplify" the award chart by making biz twice economy. And now they have this horrendous table. Econ. Econ for elites (15% upcharge). Premium Econ. Biz. Biz for elites (15% surcharge--only on North American routes). And, as pointed out above, FOUR different upgrade rates!! What a joke! And First is now totally gone from the table (unless there is a note somewhere on how to calculate it. The French website (www.airfrance.fr) is updated; I assume others will follow as soon as they can get around to it.
Well. I will no longer earn miles in FB and I am spending what little I have. But the ultimate cutting of ties came a few days ago when I changed my bookmark for FlyerTalk from FB (the first page I always checked for over seven years) to Miles and More. I wish those of you that stay all the best.

There are no more awards in La Première, unless you upgrade from an expensive full fare ticket and cash a hefty bunch of miles (more than what used to be the miles required for an award in Première a few months ago, meaning they value your 4000 EUR revenue ticket for nothing). I guess the captain's family will have the P cabin all to themselves now.

Some examples: Delta in full Y = 75%; NOTHING on Korean in Econ that is more than 75%, almost all econ fares on NW earn 50%; on CO full Y = 100%, then it drops to 50% for B and the next four fares and the bulk of CO's econ fares earn 25% and on and on it goes.
The question now is: what fare classes will you be able to upgrade? It used to be the top 2-3 fare classes, but which economy will you be able to upgrade, versus which economy premium fares.
Cheers,
GenevaFlyer
