Or indeed the other partners (e.g. SU, CZ, AM)? Let's not forget that NW is likley to disappear entirely very soon and CO is leaving SkyTeam at the end of this coming October.

BTW, if this is anything to go by in order to verify the credibility / accurateness of the info provided by the Canadian desk, note that they already reflect the new CO booking classes (in place since last month).

Where is the CO X class on this list?

And this schedule seems an incentive to me to book all TATL flights under the NWA flight numbers (as long as that will last)

I've just had a go on the CO website for a 'dummy' booking post April 1st and, indeed, classes V, S, H & Q all offer 100% mileage ... but websites aren't always accurate in their mileage predictions.

The question for me is whether or not FB will honour the accrual rates posted by ST partners.

And, strangely, one of the flights I dummy-booked involved a transfer via AMS with a UK connection on KL metal/CO codeshare ... "S" class offering 100% (but CO give a minimum of 500, not 750). Maybe I'll take the flight just to find out!

Also, CO classes Y & O (and possibly some other full or nearly-full eco fares) previously (early 2008) earned 150% ... and, in fact, the CO website still offers 150% for a Y booking.

Yeap, CO gives 150% level and base miles for full fare economy

Look, I think we should just go and book all flights directly with AF/KL Skyteam partners from 1st April. They are aware of the backlash that came with the AF/KL dramatic short-notice changes and they will not be stupid to announce the same changes in mileage accrual with an even shorter notice period.

And FB is legally obliged to honor all miles of partner carriers otherwise they will be breaking the Skyteam rules. They cannot say that 100% miles of DL are equal to 25% miles for FB.

I have a feeling AF/KL will backtrack and will cancel the changes. They are cornered and there is nothing else they can do.

Absolutely!

I just changed my 'dummy' CO booking into a real one ... for a TATL flight with domestic USA connexions ("W" fare code), I paid just over £500 and will (should?) get 11,000+ EQMs.

I hate to think how much I'd have to pay to get that many miles with AFKL!

PS: Anybody know if/how one could manage a (say) LHR-AMS booking on KL metal via one of the ST partners?

Similarly, is there a way I can book a CDG-COO under a ST code with 100% miles ?

I would try calling Delta Airlines. They might have a code-share for that leg under a DL flight number.

Look at my post just before yours. X class on CO no longer exists. The equivalent now is N class. IIRC last month CO changed all their booking classes to align them with those of their future partner UA. Have a look around the CO forum, there is a list of all the changes.

CO's website shows the earnings on their own programme, NOT FB (or any others). So, this is irrelevant for the changes in FB.

Absolutely. For some other alliances, the operating airline suggests the accrual rate, but for skyteam, each programme fixes it instead. That's why N class on AF earns 25% with FB but 0% with many other, same discrepency with business class accrual of 150% or 200% depending on the case, and similarly, Millemiglia used to give 50% miles on some reservation classes that would earn 100% with FB. There is consistency on redemption, but not on accrual, so what the CO website shows is valid for One Pass and doesn't have implications for any other Skyteam programme.

Indeed CDG-COO is DL 8620 and COO-CDG is DL 8641... BUT these legs must be booked in a PNR including a DL TATL flight, (or a codeshare on AF metal) e.g. IAD-CDG-COO, all under DL codeshare.

Flying Blue director interview highlights

Can't help crying over what he has said on http://www.flyingblue-info.com/uk/itw.html. Does he ever use his Flying Blue card???

"you can use your miles in 20 years if you want"
"The life-time validity of miles will still remain"
'For using miles, the system will stay the same."
'Elite advantages will be maintained, unlike some other carriers, and they will even be reinforced"
To make Flying Blue the programme of preference of passengers, by bringing intangible benefits for our customers".

WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT???? I FEEL BETRAYED AND CHEATED.

Well, I've got very encouraging news for Skyteam partner flights; the mileage earning rates will NOT be changing:

NW:
JCZ= 150%
BHKLMQTY= 100%
V= 25%

DL:
ACDFJI= 150%
BGHKLMQVWXTVUS= 100%

CO:
CDJZR= 150%
GEBHKLMNQSTUVWY= 100%

KE:
CJR= 150%
TKMSYWZ= 100%
so why does it say: NW 0-100%? Where is the 0% earning. I hope you are right, but some other info I heard strongly contradicts this info. Caution: I would not book anything until we have news from Paris and not FB Canada.

I agree that the website '0-100%' reference is cryptic, vague and at worst misleading. Maybe there are SU, AZ, OK, AE, CZ fares that are 0%, I only checked CO, DL, NW and KE.
