Transfer DL and NW miles to Flying Blue?
Greetings all--found an old post on this topic, but not sure if it still applies:
I recently moved from the US to Kenya, and it has quickly become clear that my Delta SkyMiles (currently about 250K) and NW WorldPerks (about 30K) are not nearly as useful here as they were in the States.
My travel agent told me that it is possible to transfer miles from these two programs into a FlyingBlue account, which would also come with a status match. Once we started the process, however, we received two answers:
The first, from the KLM office in Nairobi, was that transfers of miles from WorldPerks to FB is possible, but not from Delta SkyMiles.
The second answer, from FB customer service in Paris, was a curt email stating "transfers to FB from other programs are not allowed."
Does anyone have experience with this rather unique situation?
If transfers from NW WP are allowed to FB, then perhaps I will wait until Delta will allow me to move my miles to WP, and then migrate them on to FB... I would hope FB would allow something like this, as it would certainly keep me flying AF/KL rather than BA well into the future.
Thanks!

Reason: minor addition at end
All you have to do is change your address online with WorldPerks. This will start the process. They will then send a postcard to your EMEA address. Once they receive the postcard back from you, they will transfer your EQMs & RDMs to FB. I would hurry as this benefit may disappear as DL & NW continue their FFP merger. There are numerous threads on here that detail how this goes. I had a smooth experience with my transfer.
I also wonder about your question...plus I also wonder if you can transfer miles between 2 family members FB accounts?
Hello, first Happy new FB year!!
Transfer miles between 2 family members is not allowed by FB.
Transfer from NW worldPerks to FB is allowed. As Mrp Alert was mentionning, process start when you advise NW WorldPerks on your address change.
Have a great day!

What is "your EMEA address"?
What does EQM and RDM mean?
Why do you have to change your address?

Reason: another question
Why do you need an address NOT in the USA? Can the transfer work if you live in the USA?
If you are still talking about transfer from WorldPerks to Flying blue :
Transfer possible for WorldPerks members moving to the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East, Africa, India), from anywhere in the world.
The Tier level as well as the Miles balance will be included in this transfer.

This is a left over from the era before KL and AF merged and when the agreement between NW and KL was such that the world was divided between countries where you had to join WP and countries where you had to join FD (the KL predecessor to FB) and your account was transferrred from one programme to the other if you changed your residence from a WP country to an FD country or vice-versa.
When KL and AF merged, the restriction on not being a member of KL's FFP in WP regions (such as North America) was lifted (and conversely for WP membership in EMEA and some parts of Asia). However, the possibility to transfer from NW's FFP to KL's FFP (now FB) remained.
There never was any similar arrangement between AF and DL's FFPs and, therefore, no possibility to transfer from one to the other.

That is correct.
I am just wondering how long it will be until AF-KL and DL-NW announce that they have arranged the FFPs such that they divide up the world and have the same kind of arrangement that KL and NW currently have for the FFPs.
