A snapshot of one of my less than savory travel encounters. I've tried to avoid Gyles Brandreth throughout my whole life, so I was annoyed to see him perched on a couple of chairs, dressed in a skimpy outfit, in the SQ Lounge at NRT last March. I always wondered what he did when he wasn't working on dictionary corner on
Countdown .
