CNN HEROES Airtimes for Ponheary's segment
Copied from the Ponheary Ly Foundation Facebook Page. LKL is Larry King Live; HNL is Headline News; CNNI is CNN International. As noted, all times are "EST" which I take to mean current EDT (?). After airing, the segment will be available on the Heroes website - http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cnn.heroes/index.html

The link at CNN Heroes is live with a clip of Ponheary, click on the "video" tab. The "extra" tab is a clip of Lori Carlson, the amazing Texan who set up the Ponheary Ly Foundation and eventually sold everything and moved to Cambodia to work with the PLF.
Enrollment Continues to Increase
We're starting to get the numbers for the 2010-11 school year and are pleased to see all our students returning as well as the new kindergartners. Thanks to our summer interns, the stats for the student body is now translated and in a spreadsheet so we can better analyze trends in dropout rates. Stay tuned for the final 2010 numbers as students enroll over the summer.
You can read more about PLF's end of the year statistics on our website.

I am a friend, admirer and supporter who has seen the direct results firsthand.
As to how I met Ponheary, please see the original post in this thread.
NOTE: This thread is about the Ponheary Ly Foundation, an approved FlyerTalk Cares cause, and not really about Angkor guides, although Ponheary is one. There are several Angkor guide threads in the Asia forum.

The first sentence sufficed for my question. I wasn't inquiring too deeply.

Newsletter
It's been a flurry of activity at all the schools this winter season as we have had lots of visitors and several new projects getting off the ground. The biggest news is the eagerly awaited construction project at Srayang, where we are building a new house for the first group of 7th grade boys arriving from Koh Ker in October. This house will be located on the same property as the existing girl's house.
In addition to this undertaking, there have been many other activities at the schools. We hope you'll be pleased with the progress of our students and our mututal support of their endeavors. Thanks for continuing to support Ponheary's efforts to educate the rural disenfranchised; none of this happens without you.

PLF Feature in NatGeo Traveler
From the Killing Fields to a Future - Intelligent Travel Blog: "Shelley Seale writes about a foundation in Siem Reap, Cambodia where tourism and education come together to offer a brighter future to local children."
Hiyo-
Thanks for keeping this post going. That's a great article about Ponheary.
I was fortunate enough to go back and volunteer for the beginning of the school year (about the same time that writer was there) in October of last year. It was an incredible experience. Going back to Koh Ker school for the first time since 2007 knocked me out. The changes are so substantial that it brought me to tears as soon as I saw the kids and the school. The whole trip is of course on my blog if anyone is interested. http://www.wired2theworld.com/our-tr...cambodia-2010/
